Does anyone know if it possible to combine the GAD ticket and a one day ticket and then upgrade that 2 day ticket to say a 6 day ticket?
Thanks!

From the FAQ about GAD...

Guests who present a valid multi-day ticket or Annual Pass or Passport may choose from one of the following three options instead of receiving the free 1-day, 1-park ticket:

Disney's FASTPASS® Special Exchange Cards for certain attractions for you and up to 5 additional members of your party. †

A Special Ear Hat figurine with unique trading pins‡

Donate your free ticket to one of the select non-profit organizations designated by Disney Parks:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern California
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida
Dreams Take Flight Canada

I suppose you buy a multi-day for one less day than you would use and then use the GAD ticket at the end....?

An existing one-day ticket? No. You CANNOT combine two tickets into anything. You can upgrade an any-number-of-days, not-expired ticket to one of up to ten days, or to an AP. But you can't combine an existing one-day ticket with a GAD ticket (or any other ticket).

PLEASE see the "Everything About WDW Tickets" sticky near the top of the list of threads on the Theme Parks board. It really IS everything - and is updated whenever something changes.

I assume you have a 1-day ticket due to a package deal and cannot rebook without the 1-day ticket.

Your options are:

- Redeem the GAD voucher for the 1-day GAD ticket, upgrade that to a 6-day ticket, and pocket the 1-day ticket you already had for a future trip (best savings)

- Redeem the GAD voucher for the 1-day GAD ticket, upgrade either ticket to a 5-day ticket, and use them separately. This is a POOR value, as the difference between a 5-day and a 6-day ticket is $3+tax.

- Upgrade the existing 1-day ticket to a 6-day, and redeem the GAD voucher for one of the three alternate options.

By definition an upgrade is taking one ticket and adding cash (or similar) and ending up with one ticket with more entitlements. You cannot combine two tickets to get one ticket with more features.*

* The only exception to this rule is at the water parks where you can combine a one day water park ticket with a base or hopping MYW ticket and a payment to end up with a MYW ticket with the WPF&M option. Your payment will be the difference in price between the one day water park ticket and the cost of the WPF&M option plus tax on the difference.
