Combining DL and 3rd party tickets

Hi there - so I have a ticket credit from DL that will just about cover the cost of tickets for 2 members of our family. For the other two tickets, I'd love to save some money via LMT, GetAwayToday, etc. - but I've hesitated to pull the trigger. I've actually never gone the third party route (probably because I hadn't discovered you wonderful people for far too long!) - can anyone tell me the process to activate those tickets? Will I have any challenges loading them onto the app alongside tickets purchased direct from DL? What about if we want to upgrade from 1 park per day to PH, would that be challenging from two different ticket sources? Any thoughts, recommendations, etc. appreciated!

I haven't done this with tickets bought from DLR, but when we buy LMT tickets for family members, there are no problems loading them into the app alongside our APs. We load the tickets and APs into multiple apps on multiple phones without any trouble. LMT tickets allow you to go right to the gate, i.e. no need to stop at the ticket booth first, so it is easy to scan the tickets in, purchase MP if you want to do so, and go on your way. For upgrading, if you know you want park hoppers, I would just buy them from the start with the LMT tickets. LMT usually has the lowest prices on those -- but always check to see if there is a better offer out there at the time. Upgrading all the tickets at the booth shouldn't be a problem. It may take a little longer, so allow time for that, but don't worry about it.

For one day tickets I don’t know that I’d bother buying from anyone but Disney as there aren’t usually discounts on 1 day tickets. Also watch your dates as 1 day tickets have variable pricing depending on the date.

Should have clarified, I'll be buying 3-day tickets; and I don't want to start out with PH - totally open to upgrading while on the trip if it feels right - but ever since one trip a few years ago where we literally didn't hop once in four days, I don't default to it anymore. (And on our last trip in March, we ended up sticking with one park per day, and feeling fine about it!)
