Im so confused...
1. If you have the quick service plan can we combine QS credits for a TS meal? Or is it only QS meals?
2. Are the mugs only refillable at the resorts?

Thanks

1. No converting QS to TS, but at least some locations allow converting QS to 3 snack credits if all snack credits are used in one transaction.
2. Yes, but they are refillable at any resort, not just the one at which you are staying, if you are willing to bring them with you.

What if you are at a resort with no food court or limited quick service options.... Do you think it would be a waste to purchase the quick service plan?

I think it's a waste to purchase the quick service plan regardless of your resort. It's going to be diffcult to get any real value out of the plan.

Do you have a general idea of where you want to eat? Try plugging it in at www.distripplanner.com.

The QSDP does not make financial sense for most people. I will be getting it for my trip only because it's "free". Some people still may purchase it for the convenience.

some of the deluxe resorts do not have "food courts." Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach and OKW come to mind. However there will be places there where you will be able to purchase snacks.

There's a few places in the parks that will do the trade, too.

You can trade QS credits "down" for snacks. But you cannot trade them "up" for TS meals.

So, we are not big food people. I mean, we like to eat, but its not a must that we have a sit down meal everyday. Im trying to decided if the regular dining plan is something we need. I would like to let my two children each pick a restaurant to eat (pretty sure DD would be CRT) and we would like to do a character breakfast and maybe BOG lunch. The rest is just eat whatever. We would have 6 day park tickets. Any advice?

BOG lunch is counter service, not table service.

And your park tickets are not relevant. DDP is based on how many nights you stay at a Disney resort, it doesn't have anything to do with how many days of tickets you have. You must be staying at a Disney resort, and you must get the dining plan for every night you stay (on a single reservation).

You certainly don't "need" a dining plan. Paying OOP allows for the most flexibility in eating whatever and wherever you want.
