Okay, I haven't heard of this being done so I assume it's not possible bu perhaps someone will have a suggestion!

It is possible that I may travel out to WDW one week before DH and kids arrive to run Wine and Dine with my mother. If so, we're hoping for free dining so I'd probably purchase the free dining pkg with tickets for both stays. Together the tickets would be a bit more than an annual pass. Is it at all possible to trade them in for an annual pass at the end of one ticket and beginning of second?

Thanks for your help!

You can only use one ticket to upgrade to an AP. You can save the ticket from the second package to use on a future trip when you don't have an AP, use it when you renew your AP or as long as it is unused give it to anyone you wish.

Okay, too bad. Saving the 2nd ticket would be a great idea but my family will be using all 10 days. I probably won't be back in a year anyway but thought it might be nice to have just in case.

You are allowed to buy any days worth of tickets with your package, so buy the 10 days on your first package, and the minimum (2 or 3 days) on your second package. Then only use the first package's tickets and save the second package tickets for your next trip.

The tickets that are unused never expire so you can use them even if you don't go back for 10 years! Perhaps others can comment on the best way to do this, I think I would go to the concierge and have them put the tickets on a paper/card ticket.

Hope that makes sense!

Get the annual pass with trip 1 and purchase NO ticket for trip 2?

Am I missing something?

The OP is hoping for free dining for both trips - you have to purchase tickets in order to get free dining.
