Combing Two Dinning Reservations

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is possible.

We are going as a big party. They 1 reservation we wanted together was Be Our Guest. However group booking could only get us a big reservations on a MNSSHP night. Once the schedule was extended I was able to grab 2 tables that are half the size we need with in a 5 minutes window of each other for a regular park day. So does anyone know if it is possible to combine those 2 reservations so we have 1 of the big total or to request to have the 2 parties sitting next to each other? If it can't be done ahead of time has anyone ever had success going by the podium and asking before the reservation time? This dinner is to celebrate something and has 16 people. I just felt bad asking everyone to either pay for a MK ticket and really only get a half day or to buy a MNSSHP and hope that they are still letting people in at 4pm.

Oh just realized I put this under dinning plan instead of restaurants. How do I get a mod to move me question?

You will need to ask at the restaurant. They will do their best, but no one can guarantee you will be seated together ahead of time. Many times even if you make the reservation for everyone, with large parties a note will pop up that you may not all be seated together.

The one with 16 was through a special email with BOG and it is for 9/16 at 4pm. I originally thought everyone with a party ticket could just go over then I realized we would all be late for the reservation.

The 2 separate ones of 8 are for 6:20 and 6:25 or something like that. I'll mention to my friend that even large parties may be split up and see what he says. I only made the reservations because he thought he could wait a few months and figure it out and I said no way no how with free dinning most likely happening at 16 people.
