So the way I read it if you have a Target RED card and purchase Disney Gift Cards then you can potentially save up to 10% of you cruise.
You would have to use the 5% RED card discount and combine it with something like their 5% bonus (which is stackable) for switching to their pharmacy.
You can then apply these to your Disney Vacation Account which nets you a $20 Disney Gift Card for every $1000 you spend on a Disney Vacation like a cruise.
SO........ Theoretically I can Purchase $5000 worth of Disney Gift Cards from Target for $4500, place them on my Disney Vacation Account, make sure the account is active for at least 120 days, Spend the money in my account and receive an additional $100 gift card to spend on the ship.
When I combine this with my OBB my $5700 cruise becomes $5200, with the above mentioned plan I pay $4700 out of pocket and net $200 OBC from Disney (+200 OBC from my TA) and a $100 Disney Gift Card to use on the ship.
Anyone else have success with a plan like this? and are there any other ways to save I have not found yet?
