Combine pins? Penny Press use?

Just wondering,

I collected all 5 of the retro pins and was figuring that once I had them I could use "combine" on them to form something new. Like a pin set in a box that you could display in your room or just a pin that said Complete Retro collection. Anyway, anyone know what the "combine" function is for if it's not to combine sets (ie 1-5) of pins?

Also, what does a penny press do? I noticed you seem to be holding a squished penny or something when you double click on it but eventually it disappears. Any use for these or are they decoration?

You can only combine magic pins, and they have to be the same pin. Like, if you had two fireworks pins, you could combine them to have one much stronger fireworks pin.
The penny presses dispense chocolate, and the character eats it. A little odd, candy coming out of a penny press, but it's fun to eat chocolate. Its the only food in vmk so far.

There is the eggs in the pan also. But you can't eat it, just look at it.
