For any of you that have used the coluzzle, how did you learn to use it? Did you take a class or was it easy enough to pickup on your own. They look like alot of fun but I'm not always so good at learning on my own. Suggestions??

I haven't had too much trouble with the coluzzle. Make sure you use the right mat and knife. Also make sure you hold your knife at a 90 degree angle. It makes all the difference in the world! I love mine and just wish I had more money to buy more templates. You'll love it!

I love my colluzzles and want more. I didn't buy them for a long time however because I was just too scared. Finally my LSS owner let me try her's out and it was great. If there is anyway to try them I would suggest that. I however am reluctant to let others use mine since they do "snag" easily if not careful. Once you get the hang of it you'll be hooked. Start with an easy, simple, straight lines template and work up. Enjoy.

What, exactly is a coluzzle? I've seen them in the store but don't know what to do with them.

Lisa, like you mentioned, I have indeed snagged one of my coluzzle templates (of course on a curvy section). Do you know any tricks for cleaning up the template so the blade will move along it smoothly again? I did use my x-acto knife to whittle away the nicks, but it's still not smooth and my blade still gets stuck there.

Thanks!

It's a nifty template system. You place them over your photos (or paper, if you want to cut a shape) with their cutting mat underneath (kind of spongey white packing material-type stuff) and use their Coluzzle knife (a tiny x-acto w/swivel blade) to run along the open lines to cut. When you're done, there are usually two tiny spots left intact and you just clip them and you're good to go!

I have a bunch of Coluzzles and love them all! They're my favorite tool!

Boy, did your question make me laugh!!! I bought one of those things on Monday. I asked the saleslady, who showed me how to use it, how often did you need to change the blade. She said not very often! Well, guess what? Thursday I broke the tip on mine. I was pushing down too hard, I know. But you would think they would at least supply you with 1 extra blade! I had to wait to Coluzzle until Saturday!!!
