Columbus meet times and reservations

i'll be at the expo friday around 11:30 a.m. - noon with my two daughters if anyone else wants to meet up there and then go onto lunch

Hey!

Since plans changed I am trying to work out my transportation to Columbus.

As it stands now I am tentatively planning on flying in on SWA, arriving at 8:30AM. Then heading to the Hampton Inn, keeping my fingers crossed that a room will be available. If not I'll check my luggage and then be ready when the expo opens. My DS, the freshman at OSU, does not have classes on Friday (how did a freshman work that out??) and from what I can tell his dorm is less than 2 miles from the Hampton, so we will meet up and head to the expo. Hopefully we can meet you there. I will wear my WISH shirt from the WDW trip, so I should be pretty easy to spot. I'll PM you my cell phone number.

So...if everything falls into place DS and I would love to join the group for Friday lunch and Saturday supper. Gosh darn it just typing it makes me willing to do just about anything to make it happen.

I will let you know a little later today if I was able to make this work.

ETA: I won't have transportation, so the restaurants will need to be within walking distance of the Hampton Inn! Minor details........

ok i just did some mapquesting and it appears that hotel/restaraunts/start finish line are all within a mile from one place to another. i did Hampton Inn to Oshaugnessys and it was .40 miles -- i did the start/finish line to Hampton Inn and it's .68 miles. I know the Buca is a 1/2 block from the start line in the general direction of the hotel. so walking everywhere should be fine. I think we'll park at the hotel sat a.m. and just walk it from there

hampton inn to hyatt regancy (packet pickup) is .25 miles

pat -- i'm not stressing about weather LOL really i'm not though, the rain can pass through tomorrow, that's fine -- as long is it's after you land right? if you have time to kill in the morning there is a somewhat mall downtown called City Center -- alot of stores have closed up and you may be disappointed but it's something.

The 3 of us are planning on the dinner Saturday. I am still trying to reach the other 2 that I think will be joining us as well. As soon as I confirm, I will let you know.

DS will also be joining us for dinner Saturday. His frat is playing in a single-elimination hockey tournament on Friday at 10AM, so he doesn't know if he can make lunch on Friday. Oh to be young and play hockey one day and walk a half marathon the next!

I have a room at the Hampton Inn for Saturday night too if anyone needs a place to stay.

Although this feels like the middle of the night to me, DH is always up before this time for work. He is dropping me at the airport on his way in, so I will be in Columbus soon.
