columbus day

hi all,

Am I right in thinking that October 13 is columbus day.

We hope to be in orlando for our universal trip next week (pending flight deal..should know tomorrow, please keep your fingers crossed).

What advice do we need for this day.....should we avoid the parks and go shopping or will they be busy as in summer days and be manageable.

Getting a little excited now..on our trip this march we didnt really do universal much so really looking froward to it

Doubt it'll come close to a summer Sat., but yeh, it's Columbus Day. Lotta kids out of school.
14th will be slower I'm sure. We're hitting 10/12-10/14 since DD is outta school. Work can always wait!

My husband and I will be down 10/10 hitting HHN the 11th and 12th! Leaving on the 13th. I'm getting so excited i can't hardly stand the wait. THis will be our first HHN ever! Staying over at the HRH not a big thrill for us but we'll make the most and have fun i'm sure.

we just decided yesterday to go down next weekend 9-13. Hubby has a 4 day weekend, and we want to take advantage of the great military rate. I sure hope it isn't "too" crowded!
