Columbus Day week at a DVC/Disney resort

Let's say we checkin on Sat of Columbus Day weekend and check out on the Sun after Columbus Day - how would you spend your week? What about that first weekend? Just trying to get ideas for next year

I am checking in on that very day this year the Sunday before Columbus Day. I have reservations at Artist Point for dinner that evening. We will probably spend a little time at the parks and the swimming pool before hand, but there is nothing unusual about any of this. The day before we are staying at the Hilton in downtown so we should get to OKW about 10 oclock, don't expect my room to be ready so we will go over to the parks for awhile.
I am not a commando, so this is the extent of my plans.

Checking in Sunday, this is our Itinerary:

Sunday - Dinner at Olivias (we're staying at OKW)
Monday - Breakfast @ Tony's - day in MK then either Illuminations or Fantasmic at night
Tuesday - Ohana for Breakfast then pool hop and shop to our heart delight - Dinner at Boma
Wednesday - Breakfast @ Donald's Breakfastosaurus - Day in AK
Thursday - No Plans Means fun day tooling around WDW
Friday - Sea World (I have little kids and I haven;t been there in about 10 years )
Saturday - Breakfast at 1900 park fair and fly home.

Time for Fun, Time for relaxing....and I CAN'T wait for it to get started!!!

We're checking into Vero that Sunday - a Beach Cottage!

And - for the 2nd time, our guests have backed out on us! Anyone here want to join us?!? Looks like we may be taking my in-laws, which will be nice - but I was looking forward to our friends coming with us...

We check out of Vero on Tuesday, then it's over to Ft. Wilderness to stay in the cabins 'til Thursday! We've got ressies for Hoop de Doo Tuesday night, then intend to stick around the campground on Wednesday. We were at WLV 2 weekends ago and wandered over there to go canoeing (sp?). The bridges on the waterway were under construction, so the trip would have been VERY short - not worth the $$. Hopefully it will be fixed by then!

Then - it's back to Tampa to catch Aerosmith Thursday night. Didn't think much could tear me away from WDW & DVC, but Joe Perry can do it!!!!

Thurs: VWL : MK and MNSSHP

Fri: AK/MGM

Sat: EPCOT/Water Park/EPCOT

Sun: DD / Home

Can't wait to go!

Checking in Saturday the 12th, 2 2BR's and three studios for the group at BWV. Since this is such a large group we've tried to not make any reservations for anything, except for an Illuminations cruise the evening of the 12th, was lucky enough to get two boats. Figure that we'll just get together at night and see what the group wants to do the next day.
