This may sound like a unusual question but is it possible to get a wheelchair up to the second floor of the columbia harbor house. Is there an elevator or a ramp that goes up there??? Also how was everyone's experiences in counter service restaurants as far as getting around in a wheelchair or ecv. Which were better than others and why. Thanks so much!

There is an elevator, but it is in the kitchen. I'm not sure, but I know that some tours where there is a meal (at CHH) involved they will take people up in that elevator if needed.

However, I am not sure of the policy as concerns a Guest who is not with a tour group. My thought is that they normally would not do this, as they would have to have someone escorting you both up and down.

Hi!

Some of the counter services have a designated lane for wheelchair users so that they can get in and out, like at the Electric Umbrella at EPCOT. Generally if no one is covering that lane, if you go up there someone will come over..

There have been some places where it was either too crowded to be able to get to the designated area or the set up was not accommodating... I really cannot tell you which ones as it has been 2 years since I have been and the areas are not fresh in my mind... however if I was by myself and needed assistance I would not hesitate to ask any available CM.
