Colortopia!

Reminds me of some of the old activities above Imagination. Looks cute.

Was there Monday, and cast members were directing us to try it while I was in line for Sum of All Thrills. So we went to check it out.

Starts with a three-minute, 360 show narrated by Ty Burrell discussing the memories that we can associate with colors. Fun seeing the entire room light up and affect the way everyone else looked too. They were taking in 12 people at a time, so even a short queue can add up time-wise. Also, there isn't a lot of room for a line to even form, so I don't know where they will put people if it were to get busy. This was probably my favorite part of the whole exhibit.

Didn't see much to Spinning Spectrums. Colors spin and look like a different color. Woo ...

Color Mix 'n Match is cute, trying to create colors -- sky blue, salmon, etc. -- by using red, blue, and green sliders. The frustrating part was that it was very glitchy. Would get credit for a correct color when I was nowhere close, and when I felt like I had matched the color it wouldn't give me credit. Probably something they were still working the kinks out on.

Color Our World is the final room where you can dip a paintbrush with fiber optics, switching it to different colors then paint one of about 8 different scenes on the wall. When you fill in a color, there can be a small animation that goes with it. Didn't always seem to be working quite right. Colors wouldn't show up once in a while or wouldn't react to painting. Kids would have fun with it, I think. Our CM for it was a little pushy, which was annoying. Would have rather kept experimenting. Also, the line for this could build up quick because I don't think they are taking in more than 12 at a time (and there's a "pre-show" room to explain the paintbrushes too).

All-in-all, I could see justifying checking it out if there's no wait or you need a chance to get inside for a little bit. Also, once everything is at full operation, that will improve matters too. They were also pushing an app a lot, but it wasn't available yet on Monday. Although I probably wouldn't have downloaded anyway, to be honest.

Like I said, tried to rush through some quick thoughts. If you need any clarification, let me know.

I would totally enjoy this but DH not so much, he's color blind. I always feel guilty when I gush about how pretty colorful things are
