So I'm trying to pick colors and have no real pull towards anything in particular. What are your colors and how did you choose them?

We chose Yellow and Royal Blue. Yellow is one of my favorite colors and Blue is DFi. We're now doing a Disney History theme and pulling in green and red. Green is my favorite color and red is DFi's 3rd favorite. We're using Blue as our main color and bringing in bits of the others.
Red-Magic Kingdom
Yellow-Epcot (although Blue fits better here)
Blue-Studios (and Yellow fits better here)
Green-Animal Kingdom

Our colors are gray, lavender and sage. I wanted the BM's in a neutral color and I like the way the gray stands out against both the Bride's dress and the GM in tuxes. Purple is one of my favorite colors and goes great with gray. Sage is a smaller accent color for us, but it is my favorite color and goes great with the other two. Here's how we'll incorporate them, gray - BM dresses, table linens; lavender - FG dress, flowers; sage - greenery in the flowers, possibly on the cake...etc.

I am using black, red, and white. My wedding is in December so black was a perfect winter fit.

Our ceremony is mid October, so we are going with Browns, Champagnes, Burnt Oranges and hints of Deep Purples...all fall colors but a bit more elegant!

I am doing grapefruit pink and coral pink with grey and silver. I originally wanted pink but "something different" and played with other palettes including pink and purple, pink and periwinkle, pink and brown, and then I saw a sunset pic that had pink, purple and coral and that became the palette. The purple started to throw it off so I deleted it. The grey came from the fact that I wanted a light and clean feel and didn't want a lot of black for a morning wedding, so I went with grey and silver naturally goes well.

Here is how we are using it-

Grapefruit pink and coral pink- bm dresses, flowers- centerpieces and petals and my bouquet, napkin ribbons, ribbons on some paper products, floral on cake, flower girl headbands, paper napkins,

Grey- groomsmen's tuxes, my brothers' ties

Silver- centerpiece vases, paper products' cardstock, bm shoes, fg shoes, all jewelry and accessories, place card holders, etc.

I also wanted a lot of white so we are having white tablecloths, white flowers for the bridesmaids and groomsmen and a white cake

My invitations were white with the two shades of those same warm pinks printed on it, in a silver bifold folder with "coral rose" ribbon. Love it.

Fall is our favorite time of year. We will be renewing our vows in Nov. So my floral colors are red, yellow, orange, dark red(black magic roses). My linens are chocolate brown and ivory. My dress is ivory and my DH and kids will be wearing chocolate brown.

We pulled our inspiration from a peacock feather. We incoporated peacock blues, browns, golds, greens, teals, and a splash of ivory!

Ours was orange and shades of off-white, simply because I fell in love with the orange calla lily bouquet!

We kept the orange to a minimum so that it wasn't overwhelming and I think the colour scheme felt clean and fresh :goodvibes

I did consider having hot pink as a contrasting colour but thought that it might date my wedding in the future, as much as I love that colour combo now.

I had blush pink, azalea pink and sage green. I picked the colors to match the Attic and created a Shabby Chic theme. :goodvibes

We are getting married in 3 weeks (at home, but honeymooning in the World for 2 weeks), and we are having a peacock theme wedding. My cake is peacock colors, with an awesome peacock cake topper. My Maids of Honor are wearing olive/kiwi green taffeta dresses, and the Bridesmaids are wearing dark/royal navy dresses. All the bouquets have peacock feathers in them, and the guys are wearing ivory vests with their tuxes with boutineers of a leaf, feather, and baby's breath. My table overlays are the same blue and green as the dresses, and the centerpieces are green and ivory, with feathers, of course.

Sorry, was that more info than necessary? Can you tell that I am excited to be 21 days away?!?!?!

I heard off someone once way back when, that the first thing to do when planning your wedding is to envisage what you want it to look like.

So I did that and decided I wanted my wedding to look rich :lmao: So by word association I decided on chocolate and gold :goodvibes

They will be toned down to pale choc/mocha and pale gold sort of colours in the end. Just so it doesn't look too garish (sp?).

Although i am having my wedding at home followed by our honeymoon at wdw, our colors are red, gold, black , and white. We choose these colors because of the fratnerities that we are in (his- Phi Mu Alpha & Me-Sigma Alpha Iota) We want to keep something that was special to each of us and bring it together.

After i sat back and thought some one night i also realized that those are mickey's colors also. I was wanting to do a disney themed wedding so our colors worked out perfectly.

I got red and white - with a little black - in my head and could not get it out. Originally I wanted an Alfred Angelo dress with red in it. I did not go with that by my girls wore that red. I really wanted a color that stood out. I also wanted Mickey and Minnie in their regular clothes and the red was great. Here is a photo or two.

I'm right there with you! Mine is on October 8th! Ahhhh!:dance3:

But I think there are a few ways people tend to pick their wedding colors, depending on the season, the venue, or looking around at other people's weddings and say "oh my god! That's gorgeous, I have to have that!" (Which I totally did) I had one idea in my head, and then less than 2 months before the wedding, I changed my mind, when I saw someone elses flowers I liked even more! LOL:rotfl:

I originally wanted red, white, black and silver....but we are now planning on a May wedding in Florida, so that didn't work so much for me...

We are now going with blue as a main color (cornflower) which is not the Tiffany blue that is done a lot (at least in my family), but not as dark as royal blue...accented with pink, orange, and yellow.

I actually couldn't decide on colors, but my bf and I both like blue....so I went to the knot's website, and started going through pictures of bridesmaids dresses. I came to one and he said "I like that blue," I love it too, so that was it! :rotfl:

Actually, I'm going to David's Bridal today to look at bridesmaid's dresses and colors....it should be fun! :cool1:

We chose Navy blue, fuschia, and white as our colors. There are two reasons we chose the colors....

originally we were just going to do the navy and white because we live very close to the ocean and we want to get married at SBP... so we kept thinking nautical. But that wasn't enough for me  I wanted another color and i wanted the theme not only to be nautical but seaside boardwalk nautical because of SBP's location. So after my research this inspiration board was what lead DF and I to this color choice

it combines the sophisticated nautical feel AND a fun boardwalk-ish feel... atleast it does to us :cutie:

so my BM's will be in navy blue with fuschia and white flowers

the GM will wear their tuxes with fushcia bouts and i'm hoping to find ties that look like the one in the inspiration board

and i'm going to try and find a centerpiece that matches the colors as well. :goodvibes

My favorite color color is green..so I went with jade, celadon, white and pistachio

My main color is fuchsia! It's my favorite color, and at first I was not going to use it at all because I thought I'd want something entirely different and also thought maybe it wasn't a good wedding color, but after seeing tons of photos I thought it was the perfect color! It really pops in photos! I am still undecided for a second color, but have narrowed it down to basically every color that matches. :rotfl: I am probably going with a light pink, but I also am thinking of a light blue, lavender, orange, or brown. I'm having a spring, so I really wanted to stick to bright colors.
