I am making a coloring book for my 5 year old son to take with him on our trip (DCL, WDW). I am looking for coloring pages of anything that has to do with WDW resort and the theme parks. I have a bunch of pages with all the characters but I am looking for somethin unique. Any help?

If you go to kodak.com you will see a free EasyShare software download. You can use it as a photo editor- one of the "fun effects" options is "coloring book". I will try to post an example.

This is my baby and my cat.

You can do the same type of thing using Windows Paint in your Accessories on your PC. I've done that in the past. Good idea CheapMom.

I made activity books for my kids before we went to WDW in June. I included a word search using Disney words, a crossword puzzle (also Disney related), and a maze as well as coloring pages. Since I decided on the words in the word search and the clues in the crossword, I geared them to be appropriate for the child's age and interests. There are several websites that will create these activities for free. After I printed them, I added a bunch of blank pages at the end and had them "bound" at Staples - included a clear plastic cover (oh yeah, I made a personalized cover page too), a black backing page and one of the plastic binding things (have no idea what it's called). I think it was about $1.00 or $1.50 per book to bind. The kids loved these for the plane and any other downtime we had at the resort.

Nancyj, Can you list a couple of the websites that will do these activity sheets free?

Here is one I used for planning Sunday SChool lessons.

Once again- if anyone can tell me how to make coloring book pages in 'PAINT' I would appreciate it. I do lots of graphic work for the school and church and would prefer to use 'paint' than the Kodak site I mentioned earlier. As it is a simpler program and runs faster than Kodak EasyShare software.

That is SOOOO cool! I have a Kodak digital camera - and therefore have an EasyShare program already loaded into my computer.. Will that work? And if so, could you tell me how? I have a ZILLION photos of WDW that I could load scan and load in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi CAnn-
Take any photo and open it in EasyShare- chooe EDIT- then FUN EFFECTS- You will see an option called - COLORING BOOK- just hit APPLY and then save it.

If you don't see those options on your EasyShare software then go to Kodak.com and you can do a download so you have the latest release and then you should have no problem.

Some pictures don't turn out very well- You just have to experiment to see which ones turn out.

Thanks for the GREAT ideas! I what a good idea to get the coloring books bound! I will have to do that. As for the word searches- my son is too your. I will have to look for a mase.

I used the puzzlemaker site referenced above. It can be used to create mazes, word searchs and crossword puzzles (they call them criss-cross puzzles) as well as a bunch of other puzzle types that I haven't looked into. I also bought each child a new small box of crayons (these are really cheap now for back-to-school) so there was no bickering about colors.
