The other day someone asked about buying points on the purchasing DVC board and I gave a colorful description about why I loved BWV...well, somebody came back and said that's it...I'm buying at the Boardwalk now.

That got me to thinking that it would be cool to hear other wonderful descriptions of your favorite DVC resort. So that everybody can participate try to limit your description to one thing you really love about your resort.

So...to get us started I will give you my description of boardwalk.

There is nothing like getting up early in the morning with your muffin and cup of coffee and watching the day come alive on your boardwalk balcony. It is so peaceful to feel the cool morning air as you gaze out over crescent lake, the Yacht and Beach Club, and the big Epcot ball, Spaceship Earth. You see the boats arrive below and you start thinking about the day ahead. Will I take the boat to the studios? Will I stroll over to Epcot? For now, it is all possible.

So...what do you love? Is it the sand between your toes at BCV? Going to sleep with the castle just out the window? Is it doing laundry in your room?

Let's hear it!!

The sky is blue, the clouds are crisp fluffy white, the sand is golden and the ocean is Emerald green., the pool is Azure and the slide is golden. We adore sunrise over Vero Beach! The park is green the sea turtles are free! The kiddie activities are fun! Greatest DVC resort for relaxing and watching nature at its most colorful!

I could not have said it better or agree more with your discription.
I even shot video of it in 2010.

However; we do have a preference of the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. We find the ambiance nice and quiet there truly as if one is in the American North West at one of the true wilderness lodges from the 1800s. One can truly hear the wind gently caressing the leaves of the trees and the needles of the pines. The sounds of the horns of the boats on the lake, the whistle of the railroad steam engines at the Magic Kingdom, kids playing in the pool... These are just about all one can hear there. The next time you are at WDW take a moment to sit by the VWL DVC pool and listen. Listen to your own heart beating. Yes you can hear it if you try.
The quiet and the serenity is what makes it a truly quiet retreat from daily life in the big city.
Oh how we dream of the next time we visit. Making reservations on Sunday for June 2014 :)

What do I love about my favorite resort? Waking up early in the morning and knowing it is a quick five minute walk to our favorite park. Make it to rope drop at MK? No problem! Morning EMH at MK? sure! Leaving MK after the fireworks or a ticketed event? Woo Hoo! No waiting in line for a bus or the monorail! Oh and by the way, let's stop at the Contempo Cafe on the way back to the room and pick up one of their delicious cupcakes!

Softly in the distance, a trumpet sounds the time-honored melody calling jockeys to the starting gate. I walk past lush green grass and meticulously-tended landscaping that frames the quaint pastel buildings, resplendent with their bright white trim and quirky round and diamond-shaped windows. I lean against the railing of a long wooden bridge that transects the dark waters of a gently-rippling pond, and watch as flocks of birds take off against the backdrop of a fountain's spray. I pause to take in how quiet and relaxing it is, here. Opening my eyes and looking around, I think for just a moment that I’ve been magically transported to turn-of-the-century upstate New York. The insistent Florida sun warming my back reminds me, though, that it’s all just an Imagineer’s illusion. "Which way should I walk," I ask myself. Maybe I'll head toward the Carriage House for a tasty prime rib dinner at the fabulous Turf Club restaurant. If I do choose to go that way, I’ll certainly stop for a refreshing frozen cocktail and lounge by the High Rock Springs pool for a while. Or perhaps I’ll venture in the direction of the Paddock to thrill at a ride down the corkscrew-shaped water slide at the new pool, and possibly even join in a game of Disney trivia with the lifeguards. No, those things can wait for tomorrow, I think to myself. Tonight, I'll take a relaxing boat ride across the waves for a fun-filled evening at Downtown Disney. I close my eyes, again, and remember how excited I was to see it when I woke up and stood on my Congress Park balcony, this morning.

Nicely done!

I knew from the first sentence that its SSR - great job! Our last stay was in 2011 and you described it well!

As I sit in my living room I gaze out at the monorail zipping by quietly as the smell of steaks cooking fill my nostrils.....ahhh, I turn on my favorite show and sink into the comfy couch exhausted from spending that day at the MK, but looking forward to going back after a nice relaxing dinner..... The sun is setting behind the Grand Floridian and turning the sky multi shades of yellow, orange, red and purple as the warm sun shine through the large picture window.

I see fireworks burst open above the castle and know that Dream along with Mickey show in front of the castle just finished....oh how beautiful the castle looks at sunset........beep beep,, oh the steaks are ready as we gather around the table for dinner.....while watching the monorails come and go....and come and go.....anticipating our ride on one that will bring us to the MK for the evening.....

Then after watching Wishes.....we slowly leave the park, letting everyone else pass by us.....why rush when we have a 5 minute trip back so we sit and grab a brownie and drink and take in the atmosphere of the MK.....after a while we walk up the ramp, and grab a monorail and travel back to our home.......

Feeling like I just lived out Walts vision of Epcot.....a place people live and play....how special do I feel.........

Tuck the kids into bed and then climb into my soft comfy king size and watch the castle change colors for a while before I finally drift off the sleep.......dreaming of the next day.

Ahh....we love the Contemporary and are looking forward to our 1st BLT stay in December.

I wake up early and brew my coffee. I go onto the balcony with a fresh cup of coffee and watch the sunrise as the giraffes nibble on the trees below me. An ostrich strolls past, and a cressted crane flexs it's beautiful plumage. I watch a zebra slowly stroll by as I continue to sip my coffee and revel in the beauty of the morning. I decide where we will eat that evening from a fine selection of Indian and African inspired restaurants, and know that we will spend the evening in the lounge enjoying the calm serenity of the sweeping lobby, a fine glass of South African wine, and the delicious smell of woodsmoke that permeates the resort.
