So I'm going to be a junior in high school and my mom recently go the College issue of US News & World Report. It has a ton of articles about going into college and lists over 1,400 of the best schools in the nation. I started going through it and I went straight to the list Florida colleges. I really want to go to school in Florida because it's close to the World. I don't really know what I want to be when I get older; maybe something with cooking. My mom seems to think I'd do well in business. But I do know that I want to do the Disney College Program and going to school in Florida will make it easier being away from home.

What are some things that you look for in a College/University?
Do you know what you want to be when you're older?
Do you know specifically where you want to go to school?
Ever consider doing the Disney College Program?

UTK, Motlow.

Yes.

What are some things that you look for in a College/University? None yet, but good learning atmosphere, a great football team, and good teachers.

Do you know what you want to be when you're older? I'd love to be a lawyer, or work in engineering.

Do you know specifically where you want to go to school? I've always wanted to go to Penn State University, or Rutgers New Brunswick.

Ever consider doing the Disney College Program? I've looked at it before, and i'd love to do it. It's a little far out right now since i'm a freshman.

What are some things that you look for in a College/University? When I was doing my college search, the college had to have a good theatre and history program, because that's what my majors are. Plus, I definetly had to be able to see myself at the school. The second I walked onto the Gettysburg campus, I immediately knew this was where I wanted to go. Sure, I looked at other schools, but I eventually applied Early Decision, and found out that I got in December of my senior year.
Do you know what you want to be when you're older? well, uh, not really. lol. History is my major, and theatre is my minor, so I want to do something with those two combined somehow. Working in a museum would be awesome, or working in the archives of, say, Broadway or Disney would be great. But I don't entirely know what I want to do. I have three years until I graduate college and enter the 'real world' so I have time. :)
Do you know specifically where you want to go to school? Gettysburg College. :) Considering I'm there already, lol. Classes start on Monday, and I've been in my dorm since Sunday. yay.
Ever consider doing the Disney College Program? I'm probably going to do it the year after I graduate, as all you need is to be a student when the paperwork is filled out, so I can get away with doing it after graduation. But I'm not doing it during my 4 years at college since I want to go abroad one semester, and I wouldn't be able to graduate in 4 years if I went abroad and did the CP.

What are some things that you look for in a College/University? Location, tuition, student body size, and what courses they offer.
Do you know what you want to be when you're older? I have a plethora of ideas. Zoologist (eventually working in a zoo or some kind of enviornment like that), pharmacist, and a biology teacher. I'm also interested in being a wedding planner or a travel agent..I love doing that stuff.
Do you know specifically where you want to go to school? I have a few colleges narrowed down.
Ever consider doing the Disney College Program? Yupp. It's something I definitely want to do.

I'm in the same boat as you, only I'm a senior so I have to decide this year! (Gahh! So stressful!) It helps to go talk to your guidance counselor at your school. I went over the summer and it REALLY REALLY helps! She gave me a great list of schools that offer my possible majors and gave me advice on how get accepted into those schools.

Good luck with your search!

First thing....
You are dirt poor when in college. There is no way a college student could go frequently to disney world, unless someone else pays for it. But, there are more important things to consider. Also, I wouldn't consider a theme park a reason why you should go to Florida. You would loose the magic of going there.

If you have an idea about what you want to do, research the schools that offer the program that you are interested in. Whether schools in Florida offer that is your choice.

No, I would never consider the disney program. I would rather have a degree. :)

I'm going into my first year of university in septmeber, i am suuper scared, but I'm really excited too!!!

I am going to University of Toronto, I'm going into the humanities program, hoping to major in Drama & minor in french & english.

I'm really looking forward to the expirience, even though I'm a bit scared.

The Campus I'm at is absolutley beautiful. It's surrounded by nature, and it's really small too, so it's easy to get around. It's about a 40 minute drive from my house, so instead of living in dorms I am going to live at home and commute.

When Im older I want to try acting (on stage in Toronto) I'd also really like to do something that requires me to travel. I STILL don't know what I want to do, I was going to go into just a Drama program, but I didn't want to limit myself (I only would've been able to take drama-related courses)

I'm really excited to get started, and I'll let you know how it goes.

As someone who has already completed the application program feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.

oh, and i would love more than anything to go into the College Program, but I doubt that would ever happen.

have you considered journalism?

have you considered journalism?

i really like writing, i did really well in my crative writing course last year, and i would really like to do journalism, but in today's journalism industry, you really have to be GREAT. and you pretty much have to come out of university with a degree in journalism (specifically). Who knows, maybe my path will someday lead me to some type of writing. :)

maybe i'll take up a living writing book about WDW (the new & improved birnbaums?)

I'm going to be a senior in high school, and i also looked into the Disney College Program because i loved the fact of working in Disney..but i decided im going to stay close to home, but from what i read about it, it sounds like an amazing thing to try to get into!

What are some things that you look for in a College/University? Flexibility, location, and well..the classes I want to take
Do you know what you want to be when you're older? It changes daily. I've alwways had a passion for photography and writing, but neither I do well, imo
Do you know specifically where you want to go to school? UCF
Ever consider doing the Disney College Program? In two years we're moving to Orlando, so I plan on working at Disney with my mom anyways, so probably not. I can do so much more there, by living there. I dont really need it
