Hi folks,

I'm bringing down a group of college students in January (mostly females) and am trying to set up unique dining experiences for them.

On our day in Epcot, I'm torn between Akershus to see princesses and Biergarten. Here's why I'm having a tough time:

Akershus gets princess meet and greets, but the food doesn't seem like it's very college-student friendly.

Note: Don't factor alcohol into your decision-making process b/c they can't drink while we're together at group meals/functions. ;)

Thoughts?

I went to Akershus with my roommates on the DCP. You get a group photo with Belle or whatever princess is showing that day with your meal (at least when I went in Fall 2013). I think you get 2 big ones and 2 small prints? I can't remember.

Anyway, the food was meh and the inside was meh. The princesses were great and it was cute to watch them with the kids. I was disappointed with the food. For the price I think I'd go elsewhere. I've never been to Biergarten however so I can't comment on that. If they're more interested in characters definitely go Akershus, for food go elsewhere.

As a college student: which would YOU rather?

College aged woman here that went to Biergarten on my trip over the summer with my college age sister- we loved it :thumbsup2 Food is tasty and the show is cute

Also sharing a table with strangers is a kind of cool experience, although if your ladies are stranger-phobic biergarten might not be the best choice

I went to Akershus with my family in August and I'm not a picky eater and I found it hard to find something that I wanted to eat. (Thankfully I had the dinning plan or I would be been upset I wasted money on a meal I didn't enjoy). The princesses are nice and all but unless you are major character hunters and the pictures are worth the not so good food.

I would go with Biergarten. I've eaten there as a kid and I loved it. I thought it was a lot of fun and the food was great.

I've been to Biergarten, and it's an experience. There's not many places to get authentic German food, and you get to see a show while you're there. It's definitely a restaurant I would recommend to try at least once.

I'm not college aged anymore but I have 2 daughters that are. They absolutely love Biergarten. It is usually a must visit when we go to WDW. They also like the princess interaction at Akershus. I think for just a fun time, let your hair down dinner Biergarten is best.
