I am a freshman at Uw La Crosse in Wisconsin and I was thinking of applying for the college program. What is it like? It is worth it?

I think the CP is a great experience. It is awsome getting to work at Disney, and I've learned a lot

I haven't done it before but just watching the presentation (I saw one at my school FAU) I was amazed. I wish I could have taken the opportunity earlier but better late than never. I'm graduating soon and feel so lucky to be able to be a part of the Disney College Program. From what I hear we're going to get to meet lots of new people and get real work experience. You can even earn college credit or work experience if you're in a degree program like Hospitality that usually requires lots of hours. I say check it out. It's worth a shot.

I have never done the program either but if you are interested, this is a great place to start! I found out most of what I know about the program here on the DisBoards. Everyone is very willing to help and answer any questions you have! Also remember if you don't get in the first time you apply, don't give up! I didn't get in for the last program. It was very upsetting, but I tried again and I am arriving on August 9th! Also try to be open to do a wide variety of jobs, it really helps increase your chances of getting in. That being said, if you really don't think you would like doing something, don't put it down because they don't like offering positions to someone to have them say, well I don't want that role, can I have _____! :goodvibes

Yeah I left out only the roles I definitely couldn't fulfill and left them with the decision of where to place me. I got custodial and from what I see on these boards is that people had a blast. There's some really great past CPers and excited soon to bes. Ask more questions if you need to I'm finding it fun to post around and meet new people on the boards. Just a few minutes ago I found out there's someone joining my Fall program the same date I am and we both go to FAU. Good luck if you decide to go for it. I know I'm happy I did.
