College Program with no job experience?

My daughter is applying for Spring 2013 and the only job she has had is being a full time babysitter for 2 children for the past 3 summers. Will this hinder her chances since she has not held a "real job"?

Not at all! I didn't have a "real job" but they included babysitting and volunteer work, which I had a lot of from high school, and I got accepted so I think as long as she has babysitting she hold be fine!

She should list any extra circulars she has been involved in, any volunteering, any work experience and explain why she wants in. She also needs to explain why she wants her top three roles, they will ask her why she wants them so she should be well researched. That will help her quite a bit.

My dd met quite a few people who had no work experience prior to the CP. They were all in custodial/housekeeping. One girl was transferred to Attractions because she had some sort of allergy to the cleaning supplies. She ended up getting termed bec her lack of experience dealing with the public was not to her benefit. (I thought it was kind of a leap to take someone with no work experience and put them into Attractions on iconic rides at MK, to be honest. I thought she was set up to fail.)

I was wondering this too. I have my phone interview on Friday and I'm nervous that I won't have anything to tell my interviewer because I haven't worked in a couple of years. I have a lot of volunteer experience from high school, so I'm kind of banking on that to make an impression.
