College Football Fans....Alabama or Texas!!!!!

All I can say is PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE OF US THAT HAVE TO LIVE IN ALABAMA WITH THE OBNOXIOUS ALABAMA FANS! Charles Barkley hit it on the head the other day when he said Alabama Fans are poor winners!!! I have no problem with the team - they are great young men and have earned their crown. But you cannot imagine how hard it is to live with the fans. They do not understand the terms "sportsmanship" or "humility". For those of you Ala. fans who do not fit in this category - congratulations. My heart just breaks for Colt McCoy. He spent most of his young life working toward this game. I have no doubt the end result would have been different if he had not been hurt.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:I could say the same for Auburn fans. Two of my cousins graduated from Auburn, I have been to their games before. I even went to the sugar bowl in New Orleans Jan. 1988 when Auburn played Syracuse....and TIED. I grew up with Auburn/AL fans and I think AL has every right to be proud/obnoxious with their victory. I do feel terribly sorry for Colt though. Terrible that happened to him and for it to happen in that game is tragic. Hopefully it won't hurt his pro career because he will probably go very high in the draft. I think AL would have played a completely different game/ had a different game plan if he had played the entire game. I still think AL would have won. ;) So let AL fans have their moment/moments.....they deserve the glory. :thumbsup2

Amen! As I posted before the game, dealing with the obnoxious Alabama fans is the worst part of their win. So much so, that I really hoped that Texas would win!

My FaceBook page is filled with tons of rude and hateful comments from Alabama fans, and these comments are from people who are normally nice and gracious. The only thing that bothers me more is the people who are jumping on the Roll Tide bandwagon and pretending they were fans along. It's hilarious!

I truly do congratulate the team and I do understand that every team has it's rabid, obnoxious fans, but you have NO IDEA what it is like to live in Ala. right now if you are not an Ala. fan. I was on a bus at Disneyworld in Dec. going back to AKL late at night, and a family from Ala. got on all decked out in their Ala jerseys (all of them). I said "Congratulations on winning the SEC, and good luck in the big game. We are from Ala. too." He said "there is only one team in Ala". I said, "Well we both graduated from Auburn, as well as our children, but we still wish you good luck." At which point he said "LIke I said, there's only one team in Ala."

On all teams there are those fans that aren't nice but please don't judge Alabama fans just on the ones that aren't. My heart bleeds for Colt and I wish him a speedy recovery and a great NFL future. Roll Tide Roll!!!!!

After the game, they were doing a wrap up, with Alabama fans in the back ground, one "Fan" held up a t-shirt that read I HATE AUBURN. Now really, what kind of person takes a t-shirt all the way to Pasedena for the Championship Game with I Hate Auburn on it? It seems like everyone around here got new Alabama clothing for Christmas. It is everywhere this year. Oh Well, War Eagle!

I hope that Colt McCoy is o.k. Did you see the interview this young man gave after the game? He is such a class act. A gracious winner and loser.

I agree that there are quite a few obnoxious Alabama fans. The number of Auburn fans that I have as friends on Facebook hating on Alabama last night were pretty ridiculous themselves. I can't imagine saying some of things about Auburn if they had just won the championship that my Fb "friends" were posting last night! I pull for Auburn when they aren't playing Alabama, very few of my Auburn friends were returning the favor last night.

please, don't judge all alabama fans by the obnoxious ones you know. most of us are nice people, i promise. it makes me very sad that everyone hates us so much and calls us rude, obnoxious, classless, redneck...as i said, we really are nice people. most of us, anyway. i've read some very hurtful and unnecessary comments on this board today regarding alabama, but i think i'll keep my own comments to myself.
