I will be graduating in May with an English Degree and then heading down to Flordia for the CP. I've already decided to declare a Comm. Major (so I will have dual degrees). I was thinking about instead of taking the time off to do the CP that I could graduate with one degree....go to FL to do the CP and transfer my credits to a college in FL and finish up there. I only have one semester of work to do to finish up my Comm. degree..at the most a year left. I've heard that I can opt to extend my CP stay once I'm down there. (If I went down for Spring Advantage...I could extend into Fall Advantage..and be there around a year all together). How difficult would it be to do the CP and stay in school? I assume it's doable since I've worked 45 hours a week and gone to school full time before...but if I go down I'd be doing the classes and the work through CP and finishing up school...if I transferred down.
What do you guys think? Is it doable? I don't know how time consuming classes and work is with the CP. I don't want to kill myself with school and the CP..I just thought it was a good idea. I can always do the CP and then come back to my school and finish up...so it's not my only option. Thoughts??

I don't believe its doable because you have to have full availability for the CP.

Now you could go part time and continue school down there but you would have to find housing and you would be an out of state student for tuition purposes (at least at UCF).

It's possible, but that will take a lot of work on your end, and unless online classes are an option for you... it will be a logistical nightmare.

As Liz suggested, the full availability clause of your contract could be a deal breaker. The odds are stacked against you receiving a consistent schedule that works around your class times. Although some managers can work with you, most areas simply just don't have the flexibility to enable this.

With online classes, it's possible. Otherwise, I think it would just be really, really difficult. I would advise you to consider all of your options. Personally speaking though: come on down to Disney for a semester, get the full experience (and a break from school), then come back up and finish the requirements for your communications degree. You will have accomplished a lot (I think) in the short span of just a year!
