Collect my car at Disney Car Centre or Dolphin???

Hey were getting the DME from the airport and wanted to collect the car @ Disney.

Were staying at Saratoga Springs. Whats the difference between collecting ur car at Disney Car Centre or The Dolphin Hotel????

Car Care Center will pick you up and bring you to the location (you need to call in advance for this, the number is on the website). Dolphin, you have to get there on your own. Price may be a factor, hours of operation are a factor.

oh really! So I could tell them I when im on my way from the airport and they could drop the car off to me and id give them a lift back??!?

In my experience renting at the airport is 20 to 40% cheaper, but the pick up on site convenience maybe worth it to you.

CCC will send the shuttle, or you can hop a bus to the Dolphin to get your car, I've never found anyplace that would pick me up on site.

The car is allredy booked as part of our package. We just get to choose were we want to collect it from

National/Alamo at the car care center or the dolphin will not drop the car off for you. You have to get to the rental office and sign the papers, and then they will give you the keys to a car they pick out. We usually pick the car care center and we call them in advance to get on the resort pick up schedule.

For December - I have found that National at the car care center was cheaper than the airport, by about 100.00.

But I was wondering do you get to pick a car (ie Emerald Isle) at the car care center?
I know that at the airport if I get the emerald isle that sometimes there are cars that are bigger than my normal midsize (toyota corolla) but does anyone know if I will get a choice of types of cars at the car care center or will I get a corolla?

If you are staying at SSR you might want to check into picking up the car over at the Buena Vista Palace. They have an Alamo/National location there as well. The Buena Vista Palace is located across the street from Downtown Disney. Should be walking distance from SSR.

Even though your package says CCC or Dolphin, the agent at the Buena Vista Palace told us last year when we picked up our car that all of the locations are considered the same. She said it didn't make a difference where we dropped off the car when we were done with it even though we said we were going to return it there. Maybe it will work the other way around too with picking it up. Ended up dropping it off at the Dolphin and then walked into Epcot through the back. Saved us at least a hour.

NO, they pick you up in a shuttle and take you to the rental site. Then you get your car. For drop off you take the car to the rental site and they give you a lift back. They need some notice, not sure how much.

They only have a shuttle service to the Car Care Center, not to the other locations.

Contrary to what you have been told, the rates can differ if you pick up at one spot and drop at another.

IE: pickup at CCC drop at Dolphin, one week 441.00 for an Economy car.
pickup at CCC drop at CCC, one week 223.53 for an Economy car.

See, there is a difference, so, make sure you do your "homework".
