Collect magic bands early

Hopefully I’ve got this in the correct forum, also I’m sure I’m missing this but can’t find this exact scenario when searching.

We have a 2 week ticket already linked on our mde account as we’re staying offsite.

I’m thinking of booking 1 night stay at a value resort to get 2 days of 60fp+ in the middle of our stay. I understand we will only get 60fp+ for check in and check out.

What I’m not sure on is could we go and collect the magic bands a week before the hotel reservation and use them for our whole 2 week park ticket.

Would save $100 on magic bands as we want to use them for fast passes as we have done in the past, plus the parking, which virtually pays for the room.

Being from the uk they can’t be sent to us.

Has anyone done this?

ETA: never mind just saw you are in the U.K. I don’t think your bands will arrive at your room until the day of.

Assuming you live in the US, your bands will be mailed to you about a month before your check in date.

I’ll be in the us for 3 weeks but was hoping I could use the hotel bands for the week prior to the hotel night and for the week following.

We have 2 week tickets.

It sounds like you have MBs from a previous trip? If so, you could just bring those and use them for the duration of your trip.

Unfortunately not, lost them many years ago.

Guess I’ll have to call and ask or book the 1 night at the very beginning

Last time we rented a campsite the first two days we were there, we used the parking at the site and buses to the parks. We got magic bands ( up to ten people) and the fast passes. And had a great time at some of the night activities.
I dont talk about it much as a lot of people frown on it. Because you are overseas you have to pick them up at check in.
