Coldplay?

I don't like Coldplay's music much.
But it's certainly not 'gay'.
That's just a dumb thing to say about a band.

I just find their music annoying.
But I do like the song Speed of Sound.

I think a lot of people refer to them as "gay" because they don't scream or swear every other word or make an entire song about sexual things.

I didn't want to start a new thread about Coldplay, so I decided to bring this one back.



soooo....
i am completely and utterly disappointed in Coldplay today.

Their new ablum is nowhere near as good as the last 3.
The only songs really like (besides Violet Hill) are Viva La Vida (because it sounds the most like their old stuff) and Death to All His Friends/ The Escapist.
I really don't like whatever "new sound" it was they were trying to go for.

AND to top it all off they CANCELLED their Toronto date on their World Tour.
which I was REALLY excited about because one of the things on my lifes to do list is see Coldplay in concert.

i think the new coldplay is amazing to be honest. i normally hate coldplay, i found X&Y to be incredibly pretentious and just...annoying. haha. i think the new sound on viva la vida has something to do with the production job of brian eno. but brian eno has been a pretty revolutionary musician for a long time, i suggest you listen to some of his earlier ambient series and you'll find a striking resemblance between those and some of the more electronic sections on viva la vida.

i love the combination of yes into chinese sleeping chant. and lovers in japan. and cemetaries of london. i think the only song i intensely dislike is reign of love.
