I get them too & you've gotten a lot of good advice, so I'll just empathize with you a little. It sucks when you get one right before a big event, doesn't it!!!

It really really does!!!

I had gotten one a few weeks ago, and usually only get maybe 5 of them a year, so I figured that after that one, I wouldn't be getting anymore for a while, which was a comfort, since I knew the wedding was coming up soon.

I've read that it is often brought on by stress, so that makes sense, becasue with a wedding a week away, there has been plenty of that! lol

People I know that get them regularly take the Lysine on a daily basis, and it curbs the outbreaks greatly!

It's great! I take one every morning with my vitamin and I rarely get them now.

Fellow sufferer here, and you've gotten great advice. My sister's big fear was getting one before her own wedding, and of course she did, but the remedies worked and nothing showed by the big day. Good luck!
