Cold sandwiches/salads for Beach Day?

Where can we pick up the best tasting sandwiches and salads for a picnic. We are planning a beach day to view the shuttle launch in August. We are on the DDP so using up CS credits is a must!

Would also like to avoid the refrigerated stuff from POP.

Any advise would be great!

as soon as i read this thread, the first thought that came to mind was Earl of Sandwich.. since everyone here seems to be thinking the same thing, i would say go with that!

I would disagree with getting sandwiches from the Earl of Sandwich.

My 1st choice would be the Beach Club Marketplace.

They have great sandwiches (roast beef and brie - turkey and mozzeralla - ham and swiss) and made to order salads. Also, you get a bag of chips as a side with your sandwich (which you don't get at earls). They have bottled drinks (which you don't get at Earls). And you have a choice of a piece of fruit, a big rice krispie treat or a large cookie for dessert.

If you don't want to go there, Pop Century also has a good selection of premade sandwiches and salads, desserts and bottled drinks.

I would suggest Beach Club Market or Boardwalk Bakery (actually BB would be my first choice)...awesome sandwiches (huge and delicious), bottled drinks and you can pick any of the amazing desserts to go with them!!

I just wanted to add that at Earls, with a CS credit we got our sandwich, drink (bottled water) and a dessert (they had several to choose from).

We have a late breakfast at Cape May; so Beachclub market place sounds good and convenient. Are the sandwiches pre-made or made to order? What type of desserts do they have?

Earl of Sandwich is good too; but we are saving it for the airport trip back.
