I got a cool neck wrap at Walmart in the sporting goods dept. but I haven't tried it yet. It's like a narrow bandana type cloth with cooling beads inside. You soak it in cold water for a few minutes then wear it on your neck. They were only about $2 - $3 each. I figured I would give them a try during the summer before we head to WDW.

I also got mine at WalMart. I used mine last August and it worked really well. Of course, I did get them for dh and dd, but they refused to wear them. But, I think I was cooler than they were!!! Much better to 'feel' cool than to 'look' cool in my opinion.
We used the Walmart ones back in 2002 and didn't like them - some kind of slimy gel stuff oozed out of them and left our necks with a nasty, sticky film! I could see it if one were defective, but all four of us had that problem. Maybe the design has improved since then, though.
I bought ours at the parks for $6 (I never saw them before or I would've had them already). They were a great way to stay cool. I liked them much better than the misty-fans.

I have never used the neck wraps at Disney, but I used them at an Indians game once. We were in the top row of the stadium and the sun was beating on the back of our necks the whole game. They worked really well, I wasn't hot at all, and I am ALWAYS HOT!!
I have one that I've used in WDW, Vegas, cruises and other summer outings (like the state fair). I love it! It's a bit of a pain to dry, but just hang it over a rack in the shower overnight. It does help!

I got two in white, 1 in black (DS9 picked black for a Sept. trip?-I'm sure we will end up trading off) and 1 colored like a burgandy colored bandann a.
I spotted them by chance in with the sweatbands, they surely didn't jump out at me.
The ones I found at Sports Authority were called "Liqui Cool" and says "Stay cool with cooling bandanna!" Then gives breif instructions on use. Made by Unique Sports Products, Inc.
It shows one being dunked in a bowl of water, and a young woman tying one around her neck. Let me tell you this young woman has a BIG smile on her face, must be working for her...lol
I have a friend who made them and sold them last summer. Hers were nice because she chose the fabrics for them, she had quite a variety. I don't know if she is doing them this year or not. Her main business is potpourri.
Smiles,
Diane =0)
wow, I need to go to WalMart.
I wish I would have known about them last year on our 1st trip to Disney World in August. CAuse we were about to pass out from the heat.
FYI our Wal-Marts here in East TN have not got these in yet, but had no reason not to expect them to come in later. I just hope soon so I can go ahead and ark them off my "get-list".
UPDATE!!!! I just got back from the Wal-Mart I normally shop at and they had them. They are called Aqua Cools and cost $2.88. They were with the tennis equiptment in the bottom left-hand corner of the display. My husband picked out a black one with yellow smiley faces and I got a bandana-like one.
