Coke glazed ham

HI all

I'm hosting my family for Christmas for the first time and I've heard about Coke glazed ham. Anybody have a fairly easy recipe for it? I've been searching the net and found a lot of variations.

FYI

I've never actually cooked a whole ham b4, just ham steaks as up to now for Christmas its just been me and my DH. TYIA

Alton Brown had a show where he made a glaze with Dr. Pepper for a country ham, and the link above also has one for a city ham. If this isn't what you are looking for, you can do a search for other recipies on the Food Network site.

I had found that 1 in my internet searches along with some others. What I'm hoping for is a fellow DISser that has tried 1 of these recipes or their own variation. I appreciate any help i get though

Heres what I do.

semi-cooked, or uncooked ham (bone-in)
I stick whole cloves, into ham, (alot or a little)
Place pineapple rings onto ham, secure w/ some toothpicks
can reg. coke (no diet)
1/2-3/4 c. brown sugar
juice from pinapple, and the rest of the pineapple


Bake at 200-225 degrees, until done. The slower the better.

My grandma always just poured the can over the ham (with the pineapple like the above poster) and then occasionally go back into the over and baste with the Coke that pools at the bottom of the pan.
