According to wdwig.com

re: Grand Floridian Resort

"Will I be able to do laundry? Will someone do it for me?"

"Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are located in all of the buildings. For a price, laundry and dry cleaning service is available, featuring one-day service."

Debbie

In addition, it's $2 to wash and $2 to dry. I did notice that the dryers usually need two cycles to dry. Also, I believe tide is $2, so bring tablets from home.

There was no laundry facilities at Sugar Loaf when we visited last Dec. My husband went to the lodge next to Sugar Loaf, and reported one of two dryers was broken, and the machines in genreal were not good shape. On the positive note, the concierge staff changed the bills for us.

There are two or three washers and dryers in a room on the first floor at the end of the hall in each building. They aren't the best maintained, the dryers take FOREVER.

Thanks for the quick replies all!
We have Tide Tablets and will bring them to save on detergent. I have never been this excited about laundry, hahaha.

We stayed in Bocha Chica and there were laundry facilities there. I think there were only 2 or 3 washers and dryers, I can not remember exactly but I know the laundry room was very small.

I used the laundry in Sago Cay a couple weeks ago. There were two washers and two dryers in a tiny room on the first floor.

I hit it just right because a lady was just pulling her laundry out of the washers to put in the dryers when I showed up. I really only needed one cycle of the dryer for each load, so they were working pretty well.

When I went to pick up my laundry from the dryer, there was someone waiting to put thiers in.

So at least in our building it kept pretty busy. (This was a Tuesday night around 9pm).

they are actually in the center of the building on the first floor.

We had no problems at Sago Cay with our machines. The tablets are the way to go. At CBR it took forever to do 2 loads and we had to wait for a machine. At GF it was quick and simple - we never even saw another person in the laundry room!!!

Don't forget the Dryer Sheets. Fabric softner is $2.00 as well.
Also, there water smells a little and the Dryer Sheets make everthing ok. They also keep our clothes smelling fresh in the Suitcase and Drawers. We always take a small box and but sheets in the drawers, a few in the closet and even in the trashcan. It sounds weird but is give is more of a home smell and no stale smells. Just my .02 cents.

I have often seen the laundry rooms very busy, so be prepared to wait. Some people will even go to other buildings to do their laundry if their building's is too busy. :)
