Coffee Shop/Break Room

Donuts? How about the Krispy Kreme vanilla icing filled, chocolate icing topped ones? Can I inspect those? Crap, now I want donuts and an iced coffee. It's lunchtime! Why am I still here?

Oh, and we're back, didn't want to leave the nice cool temperatures, but we have the pesky jobs, so...

No donuts for you till you post you pics of Gay Days!

But we're glad your back! We missed you!

But yeah, about those pictures . . .

Don't blame me! JaxPiper had the camera and he's in Bradenton until tomorrow night. I know, it's crappy. We got home from NC at 11:30 Sunday night and he had to leave at 5:30 Monday morning. He's got a project in Bradenton (something about sea grass). I promise we'll post them when he gets back. But to be fair, we did post a few DURING Gay Days.

Well, we cut the 22 ADR's down to the following. The flow of the itinerary is coming along. The work is not totally done though. I have to call to set up a suitable meal options for each meal for my MIL's dietary needs 3 days before we dine at each of the restaurants below.

12/11 Lunch at the Rose & Crown at 1:00pm
(407) 560-6395 I can't even begin to understand how they are going to make potato leek soup low sodium and tasty, but I am really hoping that they can work some magic.

12/12 Breakfast at Tusker House at 10:15am
(407) 938-3243. It's an expensive character breakfast buffet, just don't salt the egg whites and bring out the whole wheat toast.

12/13 Lunch at the Biergarten at 1:45pm for CP
(407) 560-6674 - Honestly how much are they going to be able to do for her at a German buffet?

12/14 Breakfast at Kona Cafe at 10:00am
It's breakfast....see Tusker House...lol (407) 824-1152

Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern @ 5:20pm for MVMCP
(407) 824-6461 This should be interesting to try to work out. Thanksgiving food is never low sodium.

12/15 Afternoon Tea at GF at 3:40pm
(407) 824-2351 *2 I might not even call on this one. Finger sandwiches and pastries. This is a guilty pleasure experience. I might just let her have this one, but I will probably call just in case.

12/16 Lunch Mama Melrose at 12:00pm
It's pasta and probably premade sauces. I can't imagine what they are going to be able to do, but I am praying for pixie dust. (407) 560-3650

12/17 Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern at 12:00pm
(407) 824-6461 The lunch menu here has more potential for good options than some of our others, so I am hopeful.

12/18 Dinner at Le Cellier at 6:00pm
(407) 560-5282 This is the last big meal and hopefully our best of our stay. I am expecting a Christmas miracle.

Now you know what I have been working on almost to the point of insanity for the last few days.

Timon-n-Puumba,

There is an executive chef at every restaurant that has a big binder of all types of dietary restrictions. We eat at the Biergarten often and while we've never had to have a special dish made for us, I've seen it many times. The chef will come to the table and speak with you (and your mother) about the specific dietary requirements, and also what she would like to eat. In a few minutes, he will bring her special meal to the table. Disney takes care of things. I would think if you called in advance and let them know about the restrictions and what she likes to eat that they can be better prepared to make her special dish.

Think I'll be hanging on the Dis all day today. I have had several very stressful weeks at work and even though I am at work today-I am going to play hookey on my computer. The only reason I haven't given 2 weeks notice (which actually wouldn't be enough time for them to find someone to replace me, but right now I don't actually give a hoot!) is that I am a Disney freak. How is that for being insane?:rolleyes1 Without my income we wouldn't be able to afford DVC, etc. Sorry for the rant....Need to VENT!

Everybody needs to rant every once and a while. I don't blame you for the rant.
Let's talk about something new for a change....oh wait...no, we've covered all those....hmmm....here's one that won't get a single response!

Anyone have any tips on good things to do while in Hawaii?! Let me know!! Need some ideas, well, suggestions really, already have the basic ideas. LOL.

never mind! I promised I'd be good

I would love to, but I only have room in my suitcase for my puppy and my sister, if you want I might be able to check you with some luggage, but I can't guarantee you'd make it there, I'm not Elite status so they sometimes lose my luggage. LOL.

I'd rather be lost on the way to Hawaii than at home knowing where I am!

That can be helped, just make sure you have enough well...nevermind...;) I'm being good too....ROSIE!!! I know what you were going to say...all I can tell you is....watch out for the horse in the back room!! ;)

After trying to read these boards today, and the crazy way the posts are comming up, I am officially shutting off the break room coffee pot and opening the wet bar that is in my desk!

Hey TnP

It looks like our trips might overlap (I'm there for 12/8-12) . Wouldja like to get together sometime maybe?

If we can arrange something that would be fine by me! What does your itinerary look like?

Too funny!!! :rotfl2: No itinerary right now AT ALL!!!! All I know is I have cheap tickets flying in/out of Fort Meyers on 12/7 and 12/13. Planning is SO NOT my forte -- I sometimes say that if I ever have to jump out of an airplane, I'll probably have to crochet my parachute on the way down.

If I have enough HH points, I'm thinking about staying in the Hilton in DTD. If not, who knows? Maybe an onsite Value or ????? I probably won't be getting into anything approaching planning mode until late October... Shocking -- HUH??? :scared1:

Oh sweet Jesus, you are one of those people! I have never understood your kind. I can still be friends with you, but going to Disney without a plan is just crazy talk! Heck, I am working on the ideal itinerary for our 2011 vacation already! :rotfl2:
