My DH enjoys coffee with almost all of his meals. On the DDP, can coffee be selected as a beverage with TS meals? I'm confused because the coffee quality and price varies among the TS restaurants. :confused3 Would espresso and cappuchino also be included?

TIA!

Yes, coffee can be his beverage of choice on the DDP although once he tastes Disney coffee he may decide to live without it. As for the espresso and cappuchino that may vary from resteraunt to resteraunt. You'll just have to ask and see on a case by case basis.

Some restaurant has really great coffee. We had coffee at Chef de France with our lunch. It was good. The best one of all, it has got to be "Kona Cafe", hands down. The press pot coffee was my favorite.

Good to hear this! The coffee sounded good at these places - I like the press pot coffee! Do you know if it is considered a 'beverage' on the DDP?

Thanks!

Yes you can get a regular cup of coffee as your beverage on the DDP. Many places, we ordered a beer or cocktail with our meal (paid OOP for that) then ordered coffee with our dessert - the coffee counted as the beverage for the meal.

But, sorry to say, in general, the press pot coffee is not allowed as the beverage on DDP because it costs $7.99 per pot, which is considerably more than a cup of regular coffee.

But if you are on the Deluxe dining plan and eating at Kona Cafe for breakfast, you can get one press pot coffee as your 2 beverages allowed at breakfast - so instead of getting a glass of juice & a cup of regular coffee, you can ask for the press pot. They will bring you a to-go cup & lid if you have any leftover from breakfast.

As previous poster said, some restaurants have good coffee, others it's kind of blah. For sure, we had good coffee at Les Chefs, the Grand Flor. Cafe and Kona (both the regular and the press pot were good there.)

Some restaurants(don't know which) will let 2 guests share the "press-pot" as their DDP drink order. A few years back, Boma(dinner) allowed me to order the pot for myself with the DDP. That might have since changed.

Sounds good! I like coffee with dessert and wine with dinner so I'll be paying OOP for the wine anyway. Thanks!
