LOL.

My parents are driving down and buying groceries for us for the week [snacks, alcohol, etc.] and Dad and I love our coffee....so wondering if I should have him buy some or not....

Thanks.

Trish

Ok....no, it's not Nescafe. But it's not that good either...
You should go to the little coffee station near Kona cafe in the morning to get Kona coffee, if you're a coffee snob like me! And, you should know that the Nescafe they serve at Disney is in syrup form, for those large machines, and therefore not the same as the powder most people are familiar with.

I actually didn't mind the room coffee. I filled the 4 cup pot only 3 cups full because I like stronger coffee and it was very good. I did get coffee from the coffee stand by Kona but it was $5.65 for a mocha coffee and I didn't think it was even that good for as much as it was. I would have been willing to pay that each day if I liked it but I didn't even care for their regular coffee which was about $1.00 cheaper per cup.

Disney Grandma, I'm one of those who actually doesn't mind the Nescafe in the large machines. To me, it's not bad. I've never tried the Kona press pot, as much of a coffee snob as I am, because I think it would be too strong. (I don't like Starbucks for that reason.)

Since you are going to be shopping anyway, I would buy the coffee. You also will need 4 cup flat bottom filters for the coffee machine. The coffee they give you in the packets is not very good and you are certainly better off making it the way you like it.

grannyminnie - Maybe that's why I didn't mind the coffee because I made it strong. I do put cream in it though so that makes a difference. As long as I get enough to get me going in the morning I'm okay!

We bring Maxwell House Filter Packs with us. They're designed for 4 cup coffee makers. They are already sealed together, so much neater than bringing loose coffee and filters. I pop the packs into a zippy bag, bring extra sugar, and pick up milk onsite. Voila! Plenty of nice coffee-and we don't even have to leave our room for it.

It's not the good Kona Stuff --- It's Gross (Whatever it is) I even bring a small cooler with my own Half/Half & Raw- Sugar --- My DH call's me a "Coffee- Snob""" I guess I am ..... Bur you will love the Poly no matter what ...Grounds are Beautiful :cutie:

I was pleasantly surprised by the in-room coffee at WL recently. It's on par with what you get at decent business type hotels. It seems to help if you make it a little on the strong side IMO
