Coffee pots! AKL

Do they have coffee pots in the rooms at AKL? Is there some place to get a decent cup of coffee? (Not the Nescafe) ?

You can request one for your room. It is the little 4 cup kind. they will provide you with 1 pkg. of coffee. Refills can be purchased down at the Mara.

For a REALLY good cuppa' get the press pot of south african coffee
at Boma or Jiko's.

The CL has their own italian cappuchino machine, which is another level of pleasure all it's own.

Do you only get one pkg of coffee for your whole stay or do they replace it daily they way they would with the soaps, etc?

If they only give out one packet and we end up bringing from home, what type do we need to bring ie: prefilled pouches, loose coffee and filters?

What I do for the 4 cup coffee makers is to bring my own small basket filters. They are special 4-cup coffee maker filters, even though I have used the larger ones and folded (or maybe cut) them. I then bring my own ground coffee and usually mix a flavored coffee with regular coffee (what I do at home with the coffee beans). Just stick in a little scoop or an 1/8 cup measuring cup and you are good to go. I've also brought the little individual coffe packets that I've bought at our grocery store, but I like a mix of regular and flavored coffee so I prefer to bring that.
