Coffee pot and resort questions

Am staying at All star sports and AKL. Am I able to request a coffee pot at both of these resorts? Will they bring a mug to or do I need to bring my own? Does the resort sell those little packets of coffee or should I just buy a bigger package from the grocery store?

You can "request" a coffee maker at any resort....when you do...request the coffee mugs as well...(you should receive the plastic ones).
I'm fairly certain that you can buy coffee but if you would like to save a bit of $$...you could just pack some of the packets that you can buy at most groceries....(the kind that have the coffee and filter together)...these would fit quite easily in your luggage...and you might just be able to buy your "favorite" brand at home.

We stayed at the WL in June and just called mousekeeping when we checked in, went to the parks and when we came back the coffee pot, mugs (2) and coffee packets (3) were all there. We did have to call 3 days later for more coffee packets and they were brought to the room immediately.

Sorry, in room coffee makers are no longer available at the All Star Resorts. This change took place about a year ago.

You are all set for a coffeemaker at AKL but they discontinued them at the All Stars :-(. I suggest packing some coffee as I have had trouble getting replacements on various trips. At the Poly and AKL - no problem getting the coffee maker and coffee was refilled every day. At the Beach Club I had to BEG for the coffee maker and waited 2 days - never got any coffee. At the Contemporary I have always gotten the coffee maker quickly but never coffee - they claim they don't carry it. No charge for the coffee maker at any of the resorts. They have the small 4 cup makers so the maxwell house filter packs work great. None of the resorts have supplied me with cups - I just use my refillable mug!
