Is anyone else bothered by the fact that there is no cream or half and half for coffee in the food courts? We stayed at AKL, not an inexpensive resort by any stretch of the imagination, and they served coffee mate. I definitely expect them to have real milk for tea and half and half for coffee.

I wouldn't be bothered as this seems to be the norm. Most likely it is because Coffee Mate does not require refridgeration and the others do. It is very difficult to ensure that creamers stay at or below the correct temperature without keeping them in a cooler.

Usually they will have milk if you ask. Coffee Mate is vile. Of course, it probably helped to mask the taste of the Nescafe they used to offer...

Yes, I agree it is because it doesn't need refrigeration. Is it the dry creamer or those disposable "wet" creamer packages?

YES! I have always wondered why they don't have flavored creamer, like French vanilla, or hazelnut. It would make WDW coffee soooooo much better!

They really should have milk available, Regular Coffee Mate is not diabetic friendly at all. It contains corn syrup solids. They do make a sugar free version...

We had a car so ran to the store and bought half and half and milk(for tea) but I don't think we should Have had to do that.

I think it really had to do with refrigeration and keeping milk or half and half at the right temperature. I don't think there is enough staff to ensure the dairy products are constantly at the right temperatures. Then there is the additional issue of how many guests have coffee/tea vs soda, even in the morning.

Were you there in October? I overheard a man in Mara one morning asking a cast member about real cream. He didn't seem pleased. I agree that I'm sure it has to do with refrigeration. I worked at Starbucks and it was sometimes difficult there to ensure that the milks and half and half didn't spoil, not to mention wasteful when you had to dump a ton of it. I do think they sell half and half in the gift shop, though.
