:wizard: We will be staying at the CBR in August....last August they had the old style coffee maker and no free wi-fi. Does anyone know if they have upgraded either of these at CBR? It would be heaven to bring my own DD pods and have a good cup of coffee in the morning! Free wi-fi would be a bonus since I have a Kindle Fire now...

Where do you find dunkin donuts pods? I have been looking but have not seen them anywhere locally or online.

Thanks,

:wizard: In our area they are sold at the Dunkin' Donuts stores, not in the grocery stores. Where we live it's $11.99 for 14 pods.

I didn't know DD sold pods. I will have to look into this. I really don't want to take my coffee maker so if I can find the pods I will:) Thanks for that tip..

Are all the new coffee makers that they are putting in the rooms using pods? Also are pods different then the Keureg k-cups?

Sorry, I don't know much about them, Thanks!

To mkburme - Pods are different than K-Cups. I haven't seen too many places that sell the pods. I believe they are made by Senseo?

To LAS321 - what area are you from? I've only seen Dunkin have the K-cups and would like to be able to get the pods if possible.

I believe DD only makes k-cups for (at least here in NY), not pods for other types of coffee makers. Love the DD k cups btw!

We were in Martinique 2626 in April and our room still had the traditional style coffee pot.

why would disney put out money for coffee machines to use PODS when PODS are so hard to find?

We stayed in April of last year and the coffee makers took little pod like packets. I really had to work to fit my Folgers coffee in my little make shift filters...I guess I will look for DD decaf pods.Or bring my own coffee pot and filters..Oops, just read down thru here and I guess I will pack my coffee maker, filters and coffee:)Nothing like a fresh cup of Folgers getting me started:)

:wizard: Okay....I actual was in DD today and they have K-cups. Now the question is, what type of coffee makers are in the CBR rooms? I'm getting confused :confused3

Senseo pods are available in several varieties on Amazon. No dunkin that I'm aware of, but just saw that they have refillable pods, so it may be possible to make them.

I have the small Hamilton Beach maker that works good on vacation. Will be looking into the refillable pods

The coffee makers we encountered last year were the small regular ones, with the coffee bagged individually...IIRC

That's what they still had at POFQ last September/October when we were there so it sounds like your memory is fine ;)

Are all senseo pods the same or do you get different types? Sorry if that's a silly question - my coffee maker doesn't use pods

All the ones I use are of the same type and size, though several different flavors. They are a little smaller in diameter than the standard coffee pot packs, other than fitting the Senseo basket, I think the difference is the Senseo makes 1 cup and the others make ~2 cups.

NEW WDW ROOM COFFEE COMING TO WDW RESORTS: (3/26/2012)

1) Resorts are converting to Cuisinart dual-cup "pod" coffee makers.
. . . the coffee is 100% Arabica bean, very tasty
. . . eventually all resorts will have these during 2012
. . . some DVC rooms might remain with "Mr Coffee" style pots
. . . brews one cup at-a-time, or two cups side-by-side simultaneously
. . . brews 8-oz cup of coffee in less than 3 minutes
. . . illuminated power button and shuts off when water reservoir is empty
. . . separate water reservoir for each side
. . . one side can make coffee while other side does plain water for tea
. . . mugs are provided in room, but uses any standard size cup or mug
2) Each Cuisinart pod filter makes one cup of brew.
. . . decaffeinated and decaffeinated coffee pods are provided in each room
. . . maids will give more pods if asked, not just the two pods supplied
. . . teas bags are also in each room
. . . tea bags are Twinings Earl Grey Black and Twinings Green Tea
3) Pods:
. . . these are not k-cup pods/inserts, but are standard coffee "pods"
. . . they look much like tea a bag without a string, except, filled with coffee
. . . only one pod can be inserted at a time into each slide tray
. . . there are other pods that are available on the open market or Internet

NOTE: Several DVC rooms have the Mr. Coffee style makers. This is a
decision by the timeshare owner group, not WDW.
