I am just full of questions today! ;)

What size coffee makers are in the studios? Do they provide filters or do they provide coffee in those little drop in coffee/filter bags?

We are bringing our own coffee and would need filters.

We are trying to determine if we should add coffee filters to the shopping list and what size/number of cup filters we should buy.

As always, thanks in advance for your assistance.

The studios have regular size Mr. Coffee makers, 10-cup. They provide you with a packets of coffee for one day, but we always take our coffee and filters(the round paper ones is what you need to bring) Have a great trip!!!:pinkbounc

Are you sure they're the 10-cup coffee makers? I thought I've always heard that studios have the 4-cup models, and I was thinking I was going to have to buy special filters for our trip this fall. It will be great if they really are the 10-cup kind! I don't want to get there, though, and have the wrong kind.

Thanks!

I remember it being a 10 pot as well.

To be on the safe side, why don't you get those premeasured packets that you drop in? If it's a small pot, you only use one, if it's larger you toss in two.

That way, you don't have to worry about filters at all.

We had the four cup size in our BWV studio this past January. My husband is the only coffee drinker, so that size was fine. If you want more than 2 cups though, I don't think it would be big enough. We did have the 10 cup size when we were in a 1BR in Oct. 2000.

I take the Maxwell House coffee filter packs (coffee already inside the filter). We use one in the 4 cup pot and 2 in the 10 cup pot. Worked great, no mess, no worry about what size filters you need.

I've also heard you can call housekeeping and request the 10 cup size if you get the small one and need a bigger one. Maybe they've had so many requests that they've changed them all out to the 10 cup size? It has been 7 months since we were there.

We were in a studio at VWL in April. They had the 4 cup coffee maker. Housekeeping brought us a 10 cup as I requested. No problem.

I had a 4-cup model at both BW and OKW and a 10-cup model at HH. I'm now in the habit of bringing filters of both sizes.

When we checked in to a BWV studio last month, we had a 4 cup model. We called housekeeping and a brand new 10 cup model was delivered within 10 minutes, with 4 more coffee packets.

My experience has been mostly that the 4 cup pots are in the studios. (4 cups - Ha - more like one big cup!) I've always called and requested a larger one from housekeeping with no problem, but last trip to BWV on June 30 we had a 10-cup pot. I don't know if it was left over from a previous request, or if they have upgraded. Either way, it is no trouble to get a normal sized pot for real coffee drinkers! Oh, and it uses round filters, not the cone shaped ones.

Thanks for all of the great advice!

10 more days! :bounce:

The studio's have the (4) cup but if you are like us you need a larger size. We requested the larger size from housekeeping and they obliged. You'll need to bring your own filters and coffee or buy them there. Hope this answers your questions.

While our recent visit to OkW (studio) we had a 10 cup Mr. Coffee type machine (round filters).
I believe I read somewhere --probably here-- that all okw studios now have 10 cup machines. PamOKW...are you out there?

We were at OKW studios in May and again just last week, and both times we had a 10-cup coffee pot. Just thought I would let you know.....

3 Weeks ago at the BWV, I had a 4 cup pot in the Studio. And...the coffee was in a filter; like a very big tea bag but with coffee and not tea!!! :)

Waaaaa....I wanna go back now!!!!! :(

Have fun!!
