Coffee maker in the moderate resorts?

We are staying at POFQ next month. Are coffee makers still provided? Are they still the small 4 cup version that I can bring regular filters and coffee from home for? TIA

Yes they have coffee makers but they have these little pods that are round filter packers with the coffee sealed inside. They only make one cup per pod and the machine makes two cups at a time.

They are Cuisinart coffee makers (single cup type) that take round pod like tea bags.

How much coffee are you provided with? Enough to make just two cups of coffee? If I think I will want more coffee in the morning, and want to bring some from home, are these Cuisinart coffee makers compatible with Keurig or other brand pods?
I still use a regular coffee maker at home and am not at all familiar with these single cup makers. Usually I bring my own coffee maker with me when I travel (I'm super picky about my coffee) but I'm trying to travel really light this trip so I might just rely on the in room maker.
I will be staying at Caribbean Beach, if that makes a difference.

Oh, does anyone happen to know if the gift shop at CB sells half and half--not just milk? I know when I stayed at AKL a few months ago they sold it, but I wasn't sure if AKL has a more extensive grocer selection in their store since they have the villas...

Thanks! :)

The pods used by the Cuisinarts are not compatable with Keurig's type pods.
Here they are. http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-Reg...9794918&sr=8-1&keywords=Cuisinart+coffee+pods
We asked our Mousekeeper for extra pods(And left a tip) and we had more pods than we could use. :-)
We haven't stayed at CBR for several years so I'm not sure about the half & half there.
CSR had it last year but at a ridiculous price.

Unfortunately you might have to lower your expectations when it comes to coffee in the resort rooms even if you bring your own from home. The Florida water you'll use to make it with leaves a lot to be desired. If you have a car you can buy gallons of water to use. At least the coffee in the food courts is somewhat improved.

Thanks! I've made coffee in the room before with the Florida tap water, and was ok with it :) It's more about the amount of coffee grinds per cup--I like my coffee extremely strong and I'm guessing that standard "medium roast" pods won't be enough for me. :)

Thanks! I may just need to look at finding a way to bring my own coffee maker, even though I wanted to "pack light." :(

You can ask for extra coffee, they brought left me several extra packs each day. There is also the option of heading down to the food court and getting coffee there but I always like having a cup in my room.
