Do the MK Main St bakery and Boardwalk bakery serve real coffee? or is the same as the resorts? We're looking for REAL coffee

staying at VWL & BWV - would it be better to bring 4cup packs? and if so, what exactly are we looking for?

The bakeries have the same stuff Disney serves most everywhere.

If you are staying in the villas, just bring your own coffee & filters, and brew your own. The studios generally have the four cup makers and take the basket type (Mr. Coffee) filters. If you need the larger size coffeemaker (10 -12 cup size), you can just call housekeeping and ask. They will bring you one. The larger coffeemakers also use the basket type filters. You will have the larger size in the 1 bedroom and larger villas.

If you are staying at the BWV and don't mind a walk over to the Dolphin (5-10 minutes even if you are a slow walker, LOL), you can get Starbucks coffee at Tubbi's.

Otherwise for good coffee you have to go to the Poly and get the Hawaiian coffee (Kona) at the cart on the second floor, or you can get a press pot of the Kona coffee in the restaurants there; or you can go to AKL and get the press pots of the African coffee at BOMA or JIKO.

Some people think the ground coffee they sell in the gift shops (Mickey Brand) is pretty good. It's OK, but IMHO, nothing special and no different than Folgers, Maxwell House, etc.

I recommend you bring your own.

Best wishes -

The coffee at the Boardwalk was horrible. I loved the setting but was very disappointed with the coffee. I am bringing my own filter. There seems no way round this except to drink at Kona.

The coffee from Mainstreet Bakery was very tasteless - We got it one night waiting for Spectro in December. I normally take it with milk but when my Dad brought it back it was black - I had no problem drinking it cause all it tasted like was hot water (the only bonus was the woman behind the counter only charged us 2 snack credits for 4 drinks - just a little disney pixie dust or an honest mistake on her part, I guess).

Sadly that is only open during breakfast hours so you're out of luck for a cup there in the evening.
