This might be a silly question, but is the coffee in the DVC rooms free? (Staying on Cash). I just think back to the days of the mini fridge stocked with like $100 peanuts. I've noticed coffee in the rooms, but haven't touched them in my past couple stays.

Yes, to a point. They stock you up with an initial stash. This is free. Then they bring more - usually, not sure if they are supposed to - on the refresh day (4th day). This is also free. If you request more on your own, they have the right to charge you. We bring our own tea (or coffee if we feel like that instead).

We always stay on points and there are always at least two packets of regular coffee and two decaf plus the sugar/powdered creamer packets when we arrive. If you are on cash and getting daily service you should be getting your coffee supplies replaced.

Yes, the coffee in the rooms is free. If you're staying on cash, you should have daily mousekeeping and it should be replenished daily. Staying on points, it just gets replenished on trash/towel day--so we bring extra coffee to make it through the week.

Thanks! I just get nervous when there is food and drinks in the hotel already I assume they are going to charge me my first born or something lol.

I don't think there's anything like that at wdw.

And other resorts I've been to have hangtags on water bottles or price lists for anything they have in the room.

Shhhh! Something Disney isn't charging for? Don't give them any ideas! We bring a bag of coffee and some coffee filters. You can also buy coffee in packets, Maxwell House has them. However, DH is such a coffee snob for his own brand, he prefers bringing his favorite brand, a scoop, and filters.
