I'm not a coffee snob, but my DH is! We no longer have traditional coffee makers in our house. He's gone to using a french press pretty much on a daily basis. I believe that he's got one that he uses for traveling as well. It's a press and a mug all in one...and wouldn't you know...it's lime green! :thumbsup2

His most recent find...well, actually, I'm the one who pointed it out to him...is one of the single cup french presses. I'm not sure how it works, but he now has the ability to pop that into any mug and make a good cup of coffee wherever he may be! It's very small and will easily fit into the suitcase. He bought it specifically for travel purposes. We found his at our local Super Target in the coffee aisle. I've also seen them online at Sur la Table. That link will take you to the product that he bought.

And I recently stayed at the Dolphin. In my room, there was a coffee maker, to go cups, lids, a coffee sleeve and Starbucks coffee packets. :thumbsup2 The Flatties and I enjoyed a cup of Starbucks each morning before our MouseFest festivities!

Awwww.....thank you Brandie. Lord knows I need a cup or two of good coffee to get moving in the morning.

You know...I don't share my Starbucks with just ANYONE...

Well, I am a coffee snob (of coffee snobs) so here goes.

I respectfully disagree with Pete - the "coffee" on the cruise ships is intolerable. It is drinkable only because it is the only thing available short of paying four-bucks prices in the cove cafe. (Is my snob showing yet?)

I tried Kevin's suggestion (hot chocolate packet dumped into the "coffee"). That certainly helped but only in the sense that your head will feel better as soon as you stop banging it into the wall.

As Pete mentioned, there is a Starbucks in Nassau within easy walking distance of the ship. (Take cash. If you use a debit or credit card there is an exchange fee.) The sign is easy to see from the starboard side of the ship when docked.

If you go to Cove Cafe and do a specialty coffee, stir it before drinking it. I like chocolate (as much as Teresa) but not in a sludge at the bottom of my mocha.

I'm mostly a grounded person but not when it comes to coffee.

The single serve Starbucks in the Dolphin rooms are wonderful. Yet another reason to stay there.

Please don't think that I would refuse it, for that would be horrible manners and terribly impolite. :sad2:
I can choke down a cup of it. I just prefer Diet Coke/Pepsi/Dr. Pepper.

Actually...I do too...:rotfl:

I was desperate for caffeine each morning when I got up. And it was too far to walk for a Diet Coke before prettying myself up. I wouldn't subject ANYONE to that!

But I do enjoy a good frou-frou coffee drink every now and then. When I need a lift at work, I do the hot chocolate and coffee trick, but I add some french vanilla creamer to it as well...

I have a French press that I was planning on taking on board if the "Coma-Coffee" was going to be present. It the single cup version and I beleive it came from Macy's. I just can not imagine putting something that flat with no flavor in my mouth.
