Coffee Ice Cream

YES! I love coffee ice cream and almost went for it about an hour ago at Friendly's (we just got back). I opted for the butter crunch though b/c I wanted to add Heath bars to it (Heath bars do not go with coffee ice cream IMO).

Friendly's is just YUM.

Funny thing is that I LOVE coffee ice cream but absolutely despise coffee. When I was in my 20's yearrrrrrrrrs ago, my mom used to say "you will acquire a taste for coffee" …. nope never did. Hate it.

You and my husband both. For years I have tried to get him to enjoy a cup with me, nope! But coffee ice cream, not a problem. It's kinda like eating peas and hating pea soup.

Count me in on this...I don't hate coffee, but I never drink it. In fact, I think that the only time I do is when traveling, in a restaurant, with lots of cream and enough sugar to send me into a diabetic coma. Never in a car because once it gets cooled down it is like drinking kerosene. But, coffee ice cream, to me is a winner. Go figure!

Coffee is DWs favorite ice cream but she won' t drink coffee. Her favorite is a Root Beer float with coffee ice cream I love coffee, but wouldn't have coffee ice cream in any case.

We could just settle this with CHOCOLATE

OH yes. Yum. Love coffee, love coffee ice cream...but I think iced coffee is nasty. LOL I suppose that is contradictory.

Love coffee ice cream especially Breyers, yum.

But my favorite way to enjoy coffee ice cream is in mudslide milkshakes

1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur (recommended: Bailey's)
1/4 cup chocolate vodka
1 pint best quality coffee ice cream
1 banana, sliced and frozen
2 tablespoons natural cocoa powder, plus more for sprinkling as garnish

Directions


Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth, about 2 to 3 minutes. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with cocoa powder. Drink up baby!!!

Cook's Note: Chocolate flavored vodka is now being produced by many fine vodka companies. If you can't find it in your liquor store, try butterscotch schnapps. It's less of a mudslide, but every bit as tasty!

Because you cannot enjoy this alone, get a buddy to be bad with.
