We are going for our FIRST trip in August! Does anyone know the size of the coffee maker and what type of filter it uses at BCV? I would like to bring my own from home, but cant tell from the picture. THanks

You'll need the flat bottomed filters, similar to the Mr. Coffee brand.

Studios have a 4 cup maker and the larger units have a 12 cup maker. That said, if you need the larger maker and you are in a studio, you can call Housekeeping and they will bring you the larger size.

Many guests like the combination coffee/filter packs (I believe Maxwell makes them and I'm sure there are others). With those, you don't need to worry about the filters. However, others (like me) prefer to bring their own brand of coffee and since it doesn't come in the filter packs, we need to bring filters as well, LOL.

I take my Keurig B70 Singleserve Coffee Maker with me. Since we only live 40 miles away, it's not much of a hassle. Next time, I'm buying disposable coffee cups at Target to take along.

I bring a box of maxwell house coffee bags. They are like the tea bags you see. You just put em in a mug of water and nuke em for 2-3 mins, and you have a hot cup of coffee.

It taste so bad, you won't have a need for a disposable cup to take some with you as you leave the room.

Carol,

I've stayed in studios at OKW and SSR. Both had full sized, 12-cup, coffee makers.
Perhaps someone requested the larger one previously. I believe housekeeping leaves it there until/unless someone wants the smaller one. It's also possible that they don't buy the smaller ones anymore. Thanks for the info.

Embarrassed to admit I've only stayed in a studio once (in 2000). Now I only get a 1 bedroom or larger, even if it's just my DH & I. DVC has spoiled me.
