Hello,

This is a very odd request - I will warn you in advance!

On our last visit to the US my fiance got an iced tea from Coffee Bean, it was called Southern Blend and was delicious!!!! It was sort of cinnamonny and we both loved it!

We don't get Coffee Bean in the UK, or any southern tea, and we've never tried regular southern tea in the US so I don't know if it's the same as the CB version?

I have looked on the CB website to see if we can buy the tea blend but can't see it.

Do any of you know if it is the typical 'southern tea' I can find on other US websites? Or if it isn't what it is similar to? I really want to buy/make some for my DF. He doesn't drink coffee and talks about the tea at least once a week!

Was it hot tea or cold tea?? Living in NC, the first thing I think of when you say "souther tea" is sweet tea:rotfl::rotfl: Which is iced tea sweetened with sugar. Actually, when I first moved here I tried to order hot tea at a restaurant and just asked for "tea"......they brought me iced tea. Very confusing. Anyway...sorry to change the subject. I've never heard of a hot type of southern tea....but we don't have a Coffee Bean nearby.

Oops...sorry. It clearly states in your post that it was iced.

:) It was iced.

Does sweet tea have cinnamon in it?

In England the tea we have 90% of the time and get if you just ask for "tea" anywhere in the country is English Breakfast, hot with milk in, and then people add sugar if needed. Not me though, I can't stand sugar in my tea.

Since it was a kind of spiced up tea, i would say it was like Bigelow's Constant Comment. That is what a local restaurant uses for their tea and it is great hot or cold. Give it a try and see if it is similar to what you describe.

Regular southern sweet tea doesn't have cinnamon in it.....or at least I've never had any like that. I'm a transplant , so who knows. Usually it's just brewed tea....black tea or orange pekoe maybe.....with sugar added .....lots and lots of sugar....while it's still hot. Then it's chilled. My husband HAS to have it at home and he uses plain ole liptons and about a cup of sugar per pitcher of tea. Blech.

Thank you. :) I'll have a search around and see if I can find it online. :)
