Coffee at WDW

The main coffee is Nescafe, but there are coffee shops around WDW that sell better coffee. The Contemporary Grounds and Kona Cafe coffee bars both had some very good coffee. I also had good coffee with dinner at Tony's Town Square and the Liberty Tree Tavern. I'm sure there are other places throughout the world, you just need to track them down ;)

I realized that it wasn't so much the nasty Nescafe as it was the horrible creamer they use too.

So this past summer, with my order from wegoshop, I ordered a quart of 1/2 and 1/2 and my sweet n low (WDW doesn't do sweet n low, only a couple places have there) and my nastyass nescafe wasn't nearly as bad.

food for thought

It is still Nescafe. I found if you use more cream and sugar/sugar substitute it doesn't taste as bad. Kona Island is great! :)

Not only the taste but the company is brutal

Oddly, my dh loves the nescafe. He drinks it so much during the trip that he gets bad headaches after we leave from lack of caffeine!! I guess he's in the minority!

Is it really a contract w/ Nescafe that keeps that icky sludge there? Oh I dread DREAD the coffee at WDW. We actually plan a breakfast at Kona cafe or Ohana's nearly every day of our trip even when we are not staying at the Poly so that we can get Kona coffee. Kona though isn't the top of the line the best coffee I've ever drank but its pretty good, and its 150% better than Nescafe. :scared:

I always pack a 1/2pd. bag of Starbucks (or Dunkin Donuts) coffee & filters to bring with me. We always stay at BWV, so there's a coffee pot in the room - so at least I can start my day with a GOOD cup of Joe!

We're crazy when it comes to coffee. We buy ground dunkin donuts coffee to brew in the room - much better :cool1:

Kona's and also Boatwrights have good coffee. But our favorite breakfast is at Boardwalk Bakery. We ask for the cup to be 2/3 full, and add lots of cream & sweet & low. Maybe it's the combination of sitting outside & the yummy coffee rolls that makes the coffee taste really good. :thumbsup2

I was at Pop when the coffee machine had to be changed - they swung open the door, and plopped a carton of Nescafe syrup inside - then closed the door, and tested it - the hot water is mixed with the nescafe syrup!!

Well that explained a lot!!

I"m pretty sure they only brew Starbucks coffee at the Dolphin/Swan, no specialty drinks but I might be wrong

After reading on the Dis about the horrible Disney coffee Dh and I were both pleasantly surprised when we tried the coffee at All Star Movies. It was not Nescafe. It tasted like the Foldgers that we enjoy at home!
