as WDW.

:goodvibes

the coffee at universal is much better than disney's.......

that's a fact!!

the coffee at UO is good. if you like starbucks, cinnabon coffee, you are in luck.

coffee at the hotels is good also............no nescafe there.

i drink about 20 cups of coffee a day.
no lie

and i also have problems sleeping at night gee, i wonder why

The starbucks in US is very good.
I don't remember ever getting a bad cup in USO
Even the coffee with the coffee makers in the rooms in RPR is very good.

cannot thank you folks enough. i have an IV line inserted at certain times of the day for coffee and it was difficult at WDW until i found Kona and now at US i can drink it all day!

:goodvibes

i just finished a pot of coffee a few minutes ago.
now i'm wired.

which is a good thing. i'm wide awake.

bad thing, i have to get up at 6 in the morning to get ready for work.

will start the coffee consumption at 6 am again.........:rotfl:

btw, i drink this much coffee even when it is 90 degrees outside.

Sorry to go ot here but 20 cups a day??? Thats over 2 grams of caffeine and puts you at super serious risk of heart attack....please please think about cutting back, yikes!

i have cut back, i used to drink 3 pots of coffee a day.....
have a great bunn coffee maker, 10 cups to the pot.

i am totally and completely addicted to coffee.
the only time i really cut back is when i am at disney.
i detest nescafe.

i know, i drink way too much coffee

I didn't realize there were Starbucks at USO. I don't use caffeine. I have an extra heartbeat now and again and caffeine aggravates it. I can feel the heartbeat and it is soooo scary. I've been off caffeine for a couple of years and can feel it immediately if I eat chocolate or even drink a full pot of decaf. Last week I went to Starbucks and ordered a decaf, nonfat, no whip mocha and I think they gave me caffeinated because I got a serious caffeine buzz. I so did not like it and started feeling very anxious, which of course made everything worse, and ended up feeling like I was going to pass out cuz I was way dizzy. All from one accidental cup of caffeine. . . . I can't even imagine 20 cups. You must be able to do this  all day long!

Anyway, it's great to know I can get my 'Bucks at US.

P.S. I'm totally addicted to coffee myself, I just drink decaf, but only gourmet and I can't drink a whole pot or I feel the little bit of caffeine. I used to be completely addicted to caffeine, but it was either quit the caffeine AND cut down on sugar, which also caused extra heartbeats, or take Toporol for the rest of my life. I'm not nearly ready for life-long medication since I was only 36 at the time of my diagnosis. I still enjoy wonderful coffee everyday, but I enjoy it for different reasons now. I rarely have the extra heartbeat anymore!! Yeah!!!!!!

wwessing, that is very scary to order decafe and have it not be that.
i know that had to be hard on you and your body. getting that extra heart beat is not a good thing..

my mom started me on coffee when i was back in junior high school. she could not function without it and never liked making a pot of it just for herself.
she got my brothers and i hooked.

both parents developed health conditions and neither have had anything caffeinated for almost 15 years now.

maybe i will start the cutting back on consumption this summer.
when i am at disney before my universal part of my vacations, i go nuts on that nescafe. i can only drink about 5 cups of that junk. blech......

My coffee consumption goes way down at Disney also! I try to just make one pot a day, but it is tempting to make another!

So many people thinks decaf tastes bad, but it really, truly does not. My parents come over for dinner most Sunday's and I usually make a pot of one of my gourmet decaf's and my pops doesn't know any different. For a while, I told my mom it was decaf and we didn't tell my dad. He always asked me what kind of coffee I had made and I told him, just didn't add that it was decaf. Now he knows that he had been drinking decaf and was surprised that he couldn't tell the difference. It's a "thing" now, with my parents, that we compare different flavors of coffee, and what's good to make what type of drink with, etc. I also grind my own beans for each pot and turned my parents on to that. It makes a real difference in the flavor.

I know before I quite caffeine, which I probably would not have done without provocation, I was seriously addicted. I would get awful headaches if I didn't have enough caffeine in my system at all times. I woke up with headaches alot, which went away after I mainlined some coffee, or mountain dew even. When I quit caffeine, I had a headache for two or three days that nothing would help, but it finally did go away. Not a good few days in my house, let me tell ya. It was much easier to give up the caffeine than it was to quit smoking though!!! After the initial few days, it was easy street. I just didn't drink anything with caffeine anymore and haven't had any problems since the marathon headache. Honestly, once or twice in the past couple of years I have sipped something with caffeine to get rid of a headache that just wouldn't go away - and it worked! I don't even miss that jump start in the morning!

Good luck with your caffeine cut-back if you decide to do it!

for me, looking at the colored maps on paper (while sipping coffee :coffee:) is a good thing.

mine are from last october.
but, if you send an email to guest services and request guide maps of the parks, they will send them to you. they would be sending out the current ones they have at the time of your request.

top of the morning to you macraven! :surfweb: :coffee:

thanks for the info. :goodvibes

if you want older maps, i could send those, but will try to find the ones without the coffee stains on them...........lol

a quicker way is to email guestservices
and they send you ones without the coffee ring marks on them

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I agree with mac - I emailed guest services and they have my maps in the mail (ours from october have been creased, uncreased, used as a coaster, and drawn on by the kids (which rides to go to, etc) !!

:coffee: I am a coffee addict as well, although I have decreased to 1-12 cup pot of 1/2 caff a day. I use no sugar since I switched to Vanilla Caramel creamer by coffemate. I find myself fuzzy all day and with a headache (bad history of migraines here) if I cannot get at least 2 cups in a day and when travelling always despised the hotel in room coffee.....until HRH!! Plus club level has coffee available all day :yay:

just going for another cup- i emailed gs and asked for maps.
:coffee:

i drink my coffee black

no sugar
no milk or creamer

yankeepenny, pour a cup for me while you are at it.....

My family usually starts the day in Universal at IOA's Hulk( except for me). I grab a large Cinnabon coffee (there is an express near the ride) and sip it until my family is finished with the ride. They then join me for a quick breakfast of cinnabons and coffee (juice for the kids of course) at the outdoor picnic tables next to the counter. I need my coffee in the morning!
