coffee at disney

NO

That is a tragedy of MAJOR consequences

Steve

Are you talking the refillable mugs stations at the resorts too? I always loved the coffee. But it's been about a year since I've had any.

Anyone try the coffee shop on the second level in the Poly????? I am not a big coffee fan, but that coffee seemed very good to me

What about the coffee at the Boardwalk Bakery - is this the dreaded Nescafe as well???

We asked at every restaurant we went in, and they pretty much all have a Nescafe' liquid concentrate instant coffee machine. The Kona Cafe at the Poly has great Kona coffee, Tubbi's Buffeteria has Starbucks and there is a small java stand at Downtown Disney that has pretty good coffee. So, my opinion, don't lug water filters or bottles, just pick up some coffee filter packs in the grocery store and make your own.

The coffee/espresso kiosk on the BW has good coffee that is not the Nescafe concentrate, but it was not open most of the time we were there from 8/5 to 8/10 - probably too hot for most people to drink hot coffee on the BW. :(

Do you remember when all of WDW locations sold "100% Columbian Coffee"? It wasn't too long ago and it was much better than the Nescafe they sell now. :(

I too think Orlando water is terrible, but cheap. Now, I don't want to bring a Brita gallon container with me when I go due to packing space considerations, but I think the following items might be useful.

Pur Faucet Mount Filter $19.99
Brita On-Tap Faucet Filter $34.99

Both of these could simply screw onto the faucet in the normal DVC rooms. You could use them to fill your bottles every night, make coffee, baby bottles, etc... Then, at the end of your trip, screw if off, and take it home.

The last item here is something like a regular sports water bottle, but with a filter built in. You could refill these with the cold water from the water fountains in the parks.

Brita Fill-And-Go Water Filtration Bottle $7.99

I hope this helps somebody. Also, if you've tried, feedback would be great. (for example, can you actually screw these onto the DVC property faucets?)

I agree that the water is terrible, but I think that it all comes down to the coffee that they are using thru -out most of the resort. it is terrible and needs to be replaced with the coffee they had a couple of years ago. it used to be very good.

Boma's at AKL was the BEST!! It was pretty much the only time I had GREAT coffee at WDW. Oh well:rolleyes:
