Coffee at Common Grounds

I know I've seen a recent debate on these boards regarding the quality of coffee served on the ship and whether it is "real" coffee or not. I think from what I remembered that all coffee was noncaffeine? If so, does anywhere on the ship serve "real" caffeinated coffee? How about Common Grounds? Is it open in the wee hours of the a.m.?

If I remember correctly, Common Grounds is a teen club, not a coffee house. I'm not sure if they would have coffee there. It certainly would make a good name for a coffee house though.

They offer regular and decaff at all locations. You can definitely get regular coffee on the ship.

Not sure about the coffee drinks, but they do serve smoothies and soft drinks at Common Grounds. BUT....it is only for the teens. No parents allowed!! This is there space.

I've had plenty of the coffee on the ship with no complaints. So has DH and he lives on the stuff practically.

I think if you're used to some of the gourmet coffees as a staple it might be a little less gourmet?

Once upon a time, in the early days of DCL, Common Grounds used to serve coffee for the teens. However, that changed a long while back.
My hubby can't stand the coffee on the ship, but then again, he is a Starbucks addict. But you can get excellent coffee at R.E. Fresh's, the coffee shop in the terminal. Once you get on board, you can order cappucino and expresso at Palo, and I think you might be able to get in the regular restaurants and some of the lounges too (although there is an extra charge).

We have the coffee maker packed along with the Starbucks. No since making do with sub-standard coffee. LOL
