I am planning a trip in mid-October. I have always booked to CRO -- and normally without codes -- eeeeek!

We want to take advantage of codes, but also plan to use the Disney Dreams package (or whatever it is called this week). However, if I am booking a package and a lower code comes out, can I change it? Also, if I book a package without a code (just to guarantee I have a room at the resort I want) and codes come out in July (which is when they have come out historically according to Mousesavers) can I get them to bring down the price of my package?

Anyone with experience in this -- please advise.

Booking packages usually turn out to be more money than doing it seperate. If you are staying long enough, it may be to your benifit to get an AP & then try to schedule another vacation before it expires so you can get 2 trips out of the pass. With the AP pass you will be able to get an AP rate (if they offer them at that particular time....one never knows with Disney). Hope this helps ya....

Yes, you can do that. I booked room only in October 2002 for May 2003 using the Disney Club discount. Then in February a package code came out including the Unlimited/Ultimate park passes, which we wanted. I was able to apply the code to my original reservation. Calling ASAP when the code comes out will give you the best chance of getting the discount at the resort you want. The discounts are only for a certain number of rooms at certain resorts, usually, and when they are gone that's it. Even though I booked room only, they just applied the code to the two rooms already booked at the YC including UPH tickets (Dream Maker package) and one choice feature like a free game of mini golf for the 4 of us. The AP's only work out if you plan on vacationing at WDW at least twice in one year and are only good for going to the 4 parks (no water parks or Disney Quest). You have to purchase the Plus AP to equal what you get from the Ulitmate Park Pass. Here is the difference between the AP and the PAP (good for a year) or Ulitmate Park Hopper (Unlimited use, good for length of stay when staying at a WDW Resort) :

The Annual Passport entitles you to unlimited admission with park hopping privileges to the 4 Main Parks for 12 months with no blackout dates*. You also get complimentary parking in the theme park lots as well as the passholder benefits listed below on this page. Complimentary use of WDW transportation system - monorails, ferryboats, and motor coaches - is included. *Except activities/events separately priced.

The Premium Annual Passport (good for one year) and the Ultimate Park Hopper Pass (good for length of stay only) (that come with the Dream Maker packages) entitles guests to unlimited admission* with park hopping privileges with no blackout dates to the Magic Kingdom® Park; Epcot®; the Disney-MGM Studios; Disney's Animal Kingdom"! Theme Park; Disney Quest, Pleasure Island; Disney's water parks: Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and River Country; plus Disney's Wide World of Sports"! complex, as well as complimentary parking in the theme park lots and all the passholder benefits listed below. Complimentary use of WDW transportation system - monorails, ferryboats, and motor coaches - is included.*Except activities/events separately priced.

Don't be affraid to book now and change later, as long as you do it 45 days in advance (before you leave for your trip) or there is a fee for the change, usually. I have done this many times with no problem. Good Luck!
